Your opinion is not necessarily a fact. The fact is that they're representing France and not Africa. Since when did France become an African country?

I'm not saying I don't want France to win, what I'm saying is that my support will not be based on race or colour.

..tsk tsk..how's my fake patois?

Why don't you guys wait and see if France will beat Portugal?
Christiano Ronaldo, Figo, Deco, the Portuguese also have a good team and a worldclass manager.

I believe any of the 4 teams in the semifinals can win the world cup.

Rude bwoy, would you call American basketball team of '96 african team because the likes of Olajuwon played for them? No Man! Most of those French players were born there by African parents but they are French citizen by birth which makes them French.

The bigger isssue is this anyway. It show that with proper environment and coaching and African team can and will reach the ultimate prize. Because fact is apart from Henry and Viera the other guys are much less talented than those who played for Ghana , Ivory Coast etc.

..excuse me? fah fah fah..FOUL!!!!!!!!on what grounds can U state such a claim?Henry and Samuel Eto'O of Cameroon both play world class football...both are almost equally talented...Ghana and IvoryCoast were just unlucky not to have a striker of their calibre..period!I disagree that Henry is less talented than anyone on the Ghana team..sorry...when Henry misses it's because either the goalie got to it or it was really close..when Ghanaian strikers miss they miss by @ least 50 miles..go figure..

You have misunderstood me.
I am saying teh black players on France are less talented on average than say Ghana and Ivory Coats yet they have reached so far. So my point is with proper coaching and nurturing the more talented African teams can and will reach the ultimate prize. Talent alone wont cut it so France being there is actually Africa being there... My opinion anyway

....well..I'll agree to an argument or statement that Africa has an abundance of athletes that can compete on the global stage..and we do have world class athletes that are as talented as those who are winning the medals..however...we fail to exploit the full potential of our athletes with off-field sheenanigans....but I disagree that Henry is less talented than the average Ghanaian or Ivorian player..haba?That's a stretch O...even when Ghana ,Nigeria or Cameroon produce such players that stand out globally we only do so once in a while..not all the time...I think it's only Brazil so far that seems to produce them on a very consistent basis....however...I think U're right in your assessment that with the right environment, training programme and a focus Football Association U can name four African countries that can take the world cup....

Cause they play within a proper syste, remember football is not a sport per sey, its a science.

..true..but if U look @ Brazil and Argentina they mix science and art together...especially Brazil....which is why they make the game so beautiful...Africa needs to do likewise..we shouldn't make our games too technical like the Europeans...which is why the African game has been suffering a little bit because they're playing within a europeans system professionally....Ghana was able to mix and match the technical aspect of the game with the physical and artistic edge the African style brings...a perfect example of a classic african striker is Samuel Eto'O....though technical,he's also willing to take on 1,2,3 defenders if necessary..not always playing just only that boringly predictable passing game...Austin JJ Okocha is another...though we saw how much his dribbling abilities were cut out when he started playing in England...
