The winning side But I'm sort of leaning towards Argentina. Hubby was just telling me about Messi's goal. Said it was absolutely wonderful.

Yes it was. Someone posted a link on this thread. What a talented player he is.

Just seen the goal! Didn't read thread from the beginning. Oh my God! What a goal! That guy is priceless. Amazing, just amazing! One of my brood taped the whole match. Will try and watch it later.

Argentina will humiliate Brazil on Sunday. I've been waiting for that moment since the 3-1 victory over Brazil in the 2006 world cup qualifier.

They're very good and in the words of friend Tunde, they're "all that plus a bag of chips".

all dat one na long tory.....the players U mentioned that were dropped are players that can be picked up if needed..afterall,wasn't Veron dropped by Argentina too until recently?Wasn't the same Veron sent packing by Chelsea due to lack of performance? How many goals Crespo score for England before he was booted back to Italy? No be run Riquelme sef run from Spain back to Argentina as he couldn't really cut it much in La Liga?U dey yan like sey Argentinians are the one all and be all of football..if Argentina were THAT good how come they haven't won anything at the senior level since 1993..when Brazil since dat time don carry two world cups and two Copa Americas..hmm?and to say that Adriano is warming the bench for Crespo @ Inter is a HUGE LIE!He was extremenly instrumental in their extended unbeaten run and then ultimately winning the league. How long was even Tevez and Mascherano warming the bench at West Ham because their fitness level sucked so badly they couldn't crack the first 11 on a team that was facing relegation, until recently?U just like to dey spin opaks to suit U instead of telling the truth...they both have good players..but Brazil undisputably has MORE world class players than Argentina can ever muster in a pipe dream!Brazil will not decide a LETHAL player's place on the national team on his club form until after camp...
...on your analysis of Argentina's second half play..no even try tell me they chose to do their scoring in the second half by design..very laughable strategy if U asked anyone...no team 'waits' till the second half to score..dat na mumu-talk...they just COULD NOT SCORE in the first half of those matches..PERIOD!....they got hit fast by weaker teams and then came back..which means only one thing:if a strong team with more resilience, like Brazil(or Germany,or Italy,or Spain)scores first, that team could wear down Argentina the further they go into the match without scoring...in the last match Mexico kept Argentina at bay in the center circle for a loooong time...and that first goal actually should've been ruled as dangerous play because Heinze had his boot in the goalie's face..if Brazil should score first in this match and Argentina 'patiently' waits to score four in the second half they can kiss the Copa America goodnight..and goodbye! And mind U,none of the teams Argentina played has produced as many shots on goal as Brazil so we go wait and see.
