Red face Enough Sacrificies For Nigerian Football

..gone are the days I'll be taking days off work just to get a peek of my beloved Super Eagles.... ...gone are the days I nurse the itch to jump into the studio and record a track for them, scribbling down lyrics even sometimes in traffic on my way to the studio with barely a day before kickoff.....[albeit sometimes under the heavy influence of Smirnoff, like that last one ]... gone are the days when I go hold my head high, look @ peeps from other countries in the eye, beat my chest and run my mouth as I proclaim Nigeria's superiority to anybody else on the continent.......well..@ least temporarily....but certainly as long as that daft German remains coach....

"Under-fire Nigerian coach, Berti Vogts says his team faced a much better team in Ghana as the Super Eagles ended their African Cup of Nations campaign with defeat on Sunday.

Nigeria saw Ghana’s Michael Essien cancel out their 35th minute goal from a spot kick before Junior Agogo bundled in the match winner in the 82nd minute to send the hosts through to the semi-finals.

The elimination was the first time in five Nations Cup tournaments that Nigeria have failed to reach the last four. But coach Berti Vogts says his team could go home with their heads held high.

"I'm very disappointed, we paid dear for our mistakes," said the German.

"But I have a young team. They're not so experienced as Ghana who were in the last World Cup. My boys gave 100 percent today.

"We lose together, we win together," Vogts added.

The mumu no even know sey Vincent Enyeama,Joseph Yobo,Nwankwo Kanu and John Utaka already played in the 2002 World Cup...what a fool...has no clue the history of the country he's coaching..imagine.Never did his homework....evident inthe way he picked the team....Chidi Odiah and Chris Obodo's absence showed up today...Etuhu out with a cramp, brings in Eromoigbe(who's not SE material IMHO),Obodo would've sealed the midfield and found strikers....Nwanneri's inclusion in place of Odiah showed up in the second goal...which btw..was offside..but I wont even make excuses.....
...I'm tired of headaches(which I developed today after the match),heartaches and that sinking feeling that this hapless mumu will put us in further ruin, even with the possibility of not qualifying for the next ANC or World Cup....sounds farfetched, but with Berti Vogts, anything bad is possible..

it's rather unfortunate the 'super eagles' couldn't fly even half-way high because the STARS clipped their feathers, better luck next time if there will be any. Now, the boys have been separated from the MEN.
