And so you start all over again. The way you guys hire and fire coaches is definitely affecting your organisation and performances. Now a new coach will have start from square one and reorganise the team.
Having said that, Vogts has been awful as manager of the Super Chickens. He's the first manager to play against 10 men with half hour to go and still played defensive football looking for penalties.

So due, but that's what happen to coach. NY Giant almost lost his job earlier in the season, until he started winning, that's just the way it is mate!

But I was reading some where that the NFA will have to compensate Vogts $1million in order to terminate his appointment, unless he resigns willingly. There's no way he's gonna resign willingly.

Since we'll never know the true content of his contract agreement, yet I'll dought that; 'cos since team owners know that they has the right to fire and hire it's coach, I do not think they'll agree to a contract that will break there back or tie their hands when the time to use their hire/fire power.

What you do not realise is that when a contract is signed for a particular time, both parties are expected to allow the contract to run its course. Any party violating the terms of the contract will be sued for breach of contract and they will have to pay damages to the injured party. These damages include payment for the entire duration of the cancelled contract. When football managers are sacked, they are usually payed for the entire duration of the terminated contract (as was the case of Jose Mourinho and many others before him). The only way the NFA can fire Vogts without paying him for the duration of the contract will be if there was a term stipulated in the contract that failure to win the Nations cup will result in his appointment being terminated and Vogts agreed to this term (which I'm sure he will not). It must be expressly stated in the contract and he must have agreed to it prior to the contract being signed. Then the courts will be willing to enforce such terms in a contract.

Don't get me wrong, am not saying he is/not getting paid for the million dollar. What am saying is that I think that with several years of experience team owners might have figure out a way to put in a clause in the contracts that will empower them and protect them whenever they decide to terminate any coach's contract.
Take for instance, because employees tend to sue their employers whenever the employer terminate the employee, the employers started lobbying the congress, and they got a law passed that allow employers to terminate ANY employee even for NO reason at all. Is even possible that Vogts has already been paid in full, and he might be required to pay back some because he didn't make it to final.

Dude, it is extremely difficult to fire football managers. I believe this link will prove what I've been saying. Firing Vogts will cost the NFA a lot of money.

@Meddeen,o'lboy do u want Nigeria to be stuck with a guy that obviously showed his bankrupt African soccer knowledge?Na wa 4 u oo!
On a serious note,Berti Vogst might have failed in Ghana but scouting for another coach would return us to ground zero again. In my view, the guy should be left alone to continue. Not bcos of $1.5M which is not much for a country like Nigeria to loose for a game we all are passionate about.Rather bcos of the need for continuity and the more involvement of people with better knowledge of Nigerian football in his crew.A thorough over-haul of his contract is a must including a clear inclusion of resideing in Nigeria as a coach of Nigeria for God's sake!!We have the potentials to be anything there is to be in football but lack continuity. If it means dropping some of the big fishes that are less patriotic in the pitch when playing for Nigeria,so be it.We do not lack players at all and that is a fact.
My humble opinion again, lets let Berti be especially now that he has tested our passion for football and seen first hand the approach of the big boys to continental soccer. It would help us in building a solid team that would restore the Eagle to a flying bird it is

Berti Recieves Sack Letter
The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) yesterday faxed a notice of dismissal on coach Berti Vogts after being forced to backpedal on announcing his immediate dismissal.
NFA officials kept journalists waiting for over four hours for a press conference at the Alisa Hotel where Berti's dismissal was expected to be announced, only for a board member, Mohammed Ladan to read out a brief statement dissociating the FA from reports that Vogts had been sacked.
KickOffNigeria.com found out exclusively from top NFA officials that the major reason for the action was because just before the announcement was to be made, NFA lawyers pointed out, among other things, a clause in the contract which stipulates that there must be a 30-day notice in the event of dismissal.
The notice, along with other documentation, was faxed to Vogts and his lawyers yesterday.
This means that the NFA cannot officially announce the decision for the next one month.
In addition, top officials of the sports ministry had instructed the FA to delay the announcement in order to afford them time to brief Globacom chairman Mike Adenuga, whose company picks up the tab for the coach's wages and who will be responsible for whatever compensation will need to be paid.
With Vogts dismissal, Austin Eguavoen returns to take charge, for the next 30 days at least. He will be assisted by Ike Shorunmu and Samson Siasia, although the latter has been asked to focus more on his Olympic job for the time being.
