I laff internally and externally! Ke..who? Egu is the best candidate. Did you know know that Egu has EUFA coaching certificate and Keshi possess none? Did you know that Egu's winning record is second to none in Nigeria, and that includes FCs? People are crying for Siasia but when he fails they'd be the one to point out to us that Local coaches are not trustworthy forgetting that we've missed our chance when we had a competent coach -which is Eguavoen! I and my company are always in the minority and the majority have always been wrong e.g they wanted Betty Vogts and the rest has been history. I just don't know how deep they want Naija footie to sink

Mark my words, Keshi will probably take Mali to the world cup while Nigeria will be mere spectators.

..Kolinzo..abeg cut the gbegiri joor.....na certificate we go chop?I no get certificate and I could've listed a better starting lineup than Eguavoen did against Ghana.A coach's competence is judged not by his easy wins but by his selection and leadership in CRITICAL HIGH PROFILE MATCHES! Olboy...if a coach, who IS Nigerian, can not UNDERSTAND the magnitude of the rivalry between NIGERIA AND GHANA,then lines up WASTEPIPES like Makinwa in a starting role and sits Yakubu on the bench in that match, that is UNFORGIVEABLE!!When U can't insist on having your best strikers(Yak and Martins) on the field.....not having team practice or warm up before the match..dude..that is INCOMPETENCE @ THE HIGHEST LEVEL!I know..it was just a friendly...but when was there ever a friendly match between Nigeria and Ghana? If it were an oyibo..I'd understand that he does not know about the rivalry..but EGU?Abeg!Allow me to scribble his name on paper and wipe my latrine with it! Then...also..what happened against CIV in the ANC Semi Final..hmmm???4-2-4??WTF was that?Who plays 4-2-4 in 2006??
My thing is this:Coaching the SE is a full time job that requires 100% concentration @ all times. We Nigerians are extremely arrogant about our football and anyone who's going to diminish that arrogance by making silly mistakes culminating in unnecessary losses shall pay dearly for it in their pockets and profiles. The Great Christian Chuckwu also f'd up big time when he failed to qualify us for the World Cup,something which has been a birthright since 1994..when he erroneously thought he could beat Angola in Angola without JJ Okocha, besides probably costing us the 2004 ANC championship by refusing to ensure Obafemi Martins was in the team and failing to realise the talent of the young and amiable Chris Obodo:the same guy we still consider right now to be our best DM.Such oversights are extremely expensive in the lifespan of a coaching job which is usually very short.
What I like about Siasia is that he has shown over time that he knows how to select a team that will fight to win and makes no fuss when being shafted by the NFA:the guy simply has a winning mentality.Even when that idiotic oyibo selfishly drafted Mikel Obi and TT away from the team to go play a useless friendly against hapless Switzerland,Siasia never said a word..he simply replaced them and did the impossible:got us the needed draw IN GHANA.Dude..when was the last time Nigeria DREW in Ghana?Egu stopped being the man for the job imho when in 2006 ANC he started Wilson Oruma ahead of Mikel Obi.Orumas blind runs almost ended up in a draw in that match against a watered down Ghanaian team if not for TT's last minute heroics. When Obi came in for Oruma in the second half of the second match, shey U no see wetin happen? If a coach can see obvious talent and keep him on the bench, that is NO coach for me O!The same way he kept Yakubu and Kanu on the bench in Brentford...that was just totally professionally suicidal...

...please..no one is going to mark any such words of yours dude...Naija had a lot of effing up to do not to qualify for the world cup....if Nigeria simply fields its best players, which Siasia knows how to do,Keshi better pray we're not grouped together because he'll be watching from home....I asked U questions U failed to answer:What has Keshi WON?Siasia has won the U-21 ANC and World Cup U-21 Silver...what has Keshi WON?Siasia is about to qualify Nigeria for the Olympics, using a team that was left in tatters after getting his selection sabotaged by one situation or the other, does Togo even have an olympic team?U just like to dey yan opaks sha....Keshi this..Keshi that..Keshi my yansh ...U refuse to look @ Keshi's possibly damaging past of being a SE Mafia Leader..something U both know nothing about and Nigeria has gotten tired of..the way foward is to do away with such folks..the NFA did not pick Keshi based on his lack of coaching abilities, they ,like other Nigerians, simply did not trust him...when will U ever get that?

Oooh brother! Nothing you wrote up there about Egu is/was true about him. I mean NADA!!
A true or false question for you:

Does Egu hold the best winning record amongst Nigeria/Nigerian coaches?

Does Egu hold the fewest losses amongst Nigeria/Nigerian coaches?

I've highlighted the above for you so that you can see the questions. I'm apalled by the way you (and other guys) would see a good coach and scream red. You blamed him for starting Oruma ahead of Mikel, and you knowingly ignored the fact that Oruma's inclusion to that team was justified by what he received after that match -a MOM. Do you think that a player could recieve MOM without a good performance? Oruma was our best player on the field that day, it was glaring that everybody who knows soccer would see that. Jeez Oruma was in the best form of his life and any coach who had refused to start him would have bee judged by nature. I remember very clearly that you were here telling us how he should be subbed because he doesn't have vision. The Obi you guys glorify couldn't do any better and our soccer has sunk since his inclusion to SE. Let me assume you are right about Oruma, but who subbed him out and brought in Obi?? I mean, for a coach that clueless Egu shouldn't have seen that right? Egu pleased you guys and we struggled to make it to Semi where we faced CIV and Obi was manhandled by Yaya now you want to claim Egu messed that game up? Was your beloved Nsofor not started for the game? Was your beloved Ordiah not started for the game? Keita was started too and he didn't put a foot wrong and did his job like the DM he is. Obi was given free role and could not do anything and was subbed off for OGA -who I think should have started that game- before we could even have shots on goal (thanks to Oga).

Enough on the ANC, since when playing Ghana was considered a rivalry before 2006? The only rivalry we had in Africa was Cameroon and Ghana was not a major threat until of recent. So because we lost to Ghana, in a match where he played your favorite players in the midfield and still lost means he's not a good coach? If that's how one should judge a coach then I'd say fire all the top coaches because they lost to their rivals. How about your choice of players are not it! It's amazing how you see red and call it black. I weak o!

I was here when you praised Betty over Egu before the ANC -well we saw how that one ended. I was here when you said our IC couldn't do the job, between now and then you have suddenly seen that Siasia is a good coach. What would be your verdict when siasia fails to bring the goods? We told you IC couldn't do it?

Taking Togo to the world cup is much more significant than winning some under-21 title in Africa which only a handful of teams participate in. Keshi achieved the unprecedented feat of taking Togo (a very small and traditionally weak football nation) to the world cup. Not even the Togolese players expected to qualify, but Keshi showed fantastic man-management skills and he made them believe they can do it. They most certainly punched above their weights. If Keshi can achieve such feat with a one man team such as Togo, what will he do with a team that possess the likes Sissoko, Diarra, Seydou Keita, Kanoute etc? I can't wait for Mali to start playing under Keshi. Hopefully they're grouped with the SE and not the Black Stars, then you might as well kiss the world cup goodbye.

Did Togo not go to the world cup instead of Nigeria? So what's the big deal?
Mali is a much more stronger outfit than Togo in football terms, so don't talk as if Mali only started playing football yesterday while Togo have been playing football for centuries.

...whatever..that U-21 team is now forming the crust of the next Super Eagles. Mikel Obi,Taiye Taiwo,Apam,Nsofor,Keita are five players that have become regulars so U can't waive it off..
Dude....puhlease...U're talking as if the pesin U dey quote na rookie...dude..the hardest opposition for Togo in that World Cup Qualifying series was Senegal..which honestly...is also a considerably weak team, even with big names. And you conveniently forgot to add that Togo had also included some naturalised foreigners into the team, include a few Nigerians.Couple that with a world class striker like Sheyi Adebayor(who is also Nigerian by parentage, and I can tell you exactly what Sheyi Adebayo means if U wish to know cause that's a yoruba name) then U have a team with a fighting chance..so its no miracle that the beat the overhyped and underachieving Senegalese team.I mean..tell me why,two years later, with the same team,Togo could not beat Mali to qualify?Granted it came down to the last match but that's lack of consistency in the records if you asked me.Siasia on the other hand, has been consistent. The so-called 'Youth Tournament' is a huge market, especially the U-17 and U-21..so don't make it appear insignificant.Bottom line is that Siasia has WON more titles than Keshi and has been more consistent. When Keshi had the Nigeria U-21 team we were wacked senseless by some Ethiopian or was it Sudanese team or whatever....the team was so useless the whole Keshi/Amokachi traning crew were sacked.Nigeria did not qualify for the U-20 world cup that year(I think it was 2001 or 2003..I forget)...U just like to dey yan dust..there were underlining factors in not hiring Keshi...he had a bust up with Adebayor because he wanted to enforce himself to be his agent and the guy said No..and he kept pressing the issue...Keshi's always done that before...a crook is a crook even if he qualified Togo for the world cup..we dont want a crook handling the Super Eagles..get it?I mean..can U kindly address whether or not the fact that he has a history of being a player agent(even as a coach)makes him a potential detriment to the team or not?perhaps when U think about that U'd realise why Nigeria does not want Keshi as coach

I laff @ you Oruma apologists that call his headless chickenruns in that match a so-called "Man Of The Match" performance...which kin yeye M-O-M?An offensive midfielder that ran 50miles in one match but couldn't thread a single pass to the strikers na M-O-M?Yeah..he was the most visible and hardest worker that day but Oruma did not do a single thing with the ball @ his feet!Football is not about just running about with the ball, its what you do with it.Obi ran a lot less than Oruma but did more with the ball. How much does Riquelme run in a match?Oruma would be a class act if only he knew what to do with the ball when he gets it,which is why he's always come second to Okocha. He runs more than Okocha, but Okocha does more with the ball.Kanu runs less than everybody, but even the opponents hold their breathe when he has the ball.Oruma kept falling to the turf and running into opposing players, dat na MOM performance?I can't recall on how many ocassions Oruma had the ball, with two striker opening on the flanks for him,and instead of laying the ball he decides to run inbetween two Ghanaian DM's..which of course gets him tackled to the ground when they break that play.A smart midfielder would've laid for his strikers. The Obi U're criticizing is going to shine, even slowly..and the boy get more football sense than Oruma whether U like to admit it or not.Look @ the pass he laid for Yakubu to score against Benin,U wan tell me U ever saw Oruma lay dat kin pass in all the years im don dey tap leda?In a critical match involving a downtrotten SE Obi had an assist and a goal..that is what an offensive midfielder does...when was the last time Oruma had that for Nigeria?Remember the match against Scotland in 2002?Nigeria was cruising 2-0 right infront of the Scottish crowd until Oruma came in...his first woeful touch turned the ball over in the box and Robbie Keane nailed it.The whole match his touches were off..like he had no confidence...dude..abeg..no even let me start.
