The factual: World Footballer of the Year, Zizzou is in Frances' squad and that team has been on the lookout for a chance to beat England lately. Also, whereas France and England has four and two Arsenal players, respectively in the team (Henry, Vieira, Wiltord & Pires and Cole & Campbell); Man U has two and one respectively in England's and Frances' team (Neville, Scholes & Silvestre); and Chelsea has two and one respectively in Frances and England team (Gallas, Makelele & Lampard).

The emotional: My pathological passion for the mercurial Henry of Arsenal (though he was caged in the match - for obvious reasons). And again all the Arsenal players in the squad.

I am so happy that they lost. They never deserved to win. Check match statistics - possession Portugal 69%, England 31%, shots at goal, corner kicks and all was against England.

It's good to feel that one's expectations were met. My teams in the tournament, from the beginning has been France & Portugal.

But again, Arsenal players demonstrated why they are ARSENAL PLAYERS. Ashley Cole and Sol Campbell were marvelous. Cole especially won all balls against Ronaldo of Portugal; the Commentator on SuperSports kept on harping on Cole's performance.

And Beckham...................no comment!!!

Actually am feeling rather down coz England was my team. In the first half they played so well but come the second half, Portugal was in real possession of the ball. That Ronaldo boy, never got tired at all through to the penalties.

Just like Taj Mahal mentioned, Cole and Campbell really showed very spectacular performance, too bad for them Lil' Wayne Rooney had an injury earlier on in the game.

I have no comment on Beckham's penalty kick, but why the hell did Sven put him first to take it out???????? Though my next team France is not out yet, I hope they will perform better without the silver goal and penalties.

Here's predicting that Portugal will not reach the finals. I don't think they are that good. Though I was rooting for them against England, I think they's been lucky. Has anyone seen the Czechs play?! Wow! I see those guys in the finals, if care is not taken. THey are my team now. But what will I do if they play against France?! Probably do a coin toss on who I will support.

How come we are on the same expectation? France and Portugal has been my teams, i am hoping to see these two teams meet in final , then I will go for France, I really want France to take the trophy.
