Segun Odegbami,Felix Owolabi,Tunde Bamidele,Kunle Awesu,Wole Odegbami,Best Ogedegbe,Mutiu Adepoju,Raymond King,Sam Ojebode,Adegoke Adelabu,Adejide Babalade,Mudasiru Lawal,Taiwo Ogunjobi,Rashidi Yekini, John Orlando,Olumide Banjo,Wakilu Oyenuga,Duke Udi, Seyi OgunsanyaAdemola Adesina,Ogbein Fawole,Edith Agoye...these were players that were representing Nigeria from this club...UP SOOOTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Shooting Stars is the greatest team of all time based on the players they've produced for the national team and were menace to football and the exposure they gave Naija club footie on Africa continent! I've also read about Leventis on the other site -though the club is dead!

Leventis was the ultimate giant killer!A bunch of determined secondary school and college kids with a sprinkle of professionals took the league by storm...and in the Nigeria FA Cup,whooped the behinds of all the top clubs...consistently till they got to the top league. Those guys were BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!!!!

Sure but when Abiola Babes and Iwuanyawu Nationale came,it wasn't easy for them again. Also remeber when Muminu Aminu splashed Money like Abrohamovic for El kanemi of Bornu.
Rangers in my view,is the most consistent bcos the team NEVER went on relegation ever since it was formed and had a good share of supplying players to the national team.Infact,i remember matches where all the Nigerian Green Eagle players were from just Rangers and shooting stars back then.
Rangers and IICC were the strongest and matches involving the two was always brutal. My closest shave with death was in a match in Enugu between Rangers and IICC and eventhough i sat in state box-with Jim Nwobodo as Anambra gov-i got tangled trying to escape teargas from riot policemen who were trying to stop the fracas that ensued. The rivalry continued and even claimed the life of Finidi George's younger brother playing, for Rangers after a match in Ibadan against Shooting stars.Rangers won and Ibadan fans shot at the playes bus,George caught a stray bullet that ended his life.Dude was to head to Holland for trials with Ajax the nextweek

No mind am... When Rangers were playing with little or no support from the rest of the country at large, as they played in the shadow of the civil war. It was really tough for them way back then.

I also remember my father did not take me to an IICC / Ranger games at National Stadium because of the fear something would go wrong. There was always some violence when those two played.

And Papino you sure say no be Gov Nwobodo's makeup come make ya eye tear?

..true talk sha...those two no dey gree.Anytime dem clash U can almost expect buses to start burning.....The era of them dominating Nigerian football however ended in the early 90's or so.Stationery Stores used to make some serious noise too back then, alongside Julius Berger and Bendel Insurance.NNB was tapping some serious leda with their Brazilian style football...I saw one of their matches and the play was just immaculate!Sootin' was never quite the same after losing that match to Zamalek and Odegbami retired.....U could almost sense the end of an era.
