Sierra Leone Go Hear Wien This Saturday!
According to the report below from Kickoff, all the players returned to camp before the deadline except Anichebe who was permitted to fly to England.
Everton striker Victor Anichebe was the only player missing as the Super Eagles resumed training in Abuja after a two-day break following their 2-0 win over South Africa on Sunday.
The striker was excused by coach Shuaibu Amodu, who gave him permission to fly to England. He is expected to be back in camp on Thursday.
All the players reported to camp ahead of the 13h00 deadline issued by Amodu and the coach stated that it was a sign of seriousness.
"I'm happy they all came back before the deadline. It is a sign of seriousness, discipline and dedication.
"It is also a sign that we're all on the same page in our commitment to reach the 2010 World Cup finals," Amodu stated.
After training sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, the Nigeria team will fly direct from Abuja to Freetown aboard a chartered aircraft
Ademola Olajire
The squad held a closed-door training session at the National Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Nigeria face Sierra Leone at the National Stadium, Freetown on Saturday, 7th June in one of the Day 2 games of the 2010 FIFA World Cup/African Nations Cup qualifying campaign.
The match will start at 16h30 Sierra Leone time, which is 17h50 in Nigeria.
FIFA has appointed Liberian Referee Sam Korti to be in the center, with his compatriots Augustine Gooding (1st Assistant), Buster Snyder (2nd Assistant) and Ebenezer Konah (Reserve).
The Referee Assessor is Mr. Aly Bangoura from Guinea, with Jose Lobato from Guinea Bissau the Match Commissioner and Cameroonian Abel Mbengue the FIFA Security Officer.
NFA Chief Media Officer Ademola Olajire confirmed KickOffNigeria.com's story that the team will go to Freetown on a chartered flight.
"After training sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, the Nigeria team will fly direct from Abuja to Freetown aboard a chartered aircraft on Friday morning, and return to Abuja immediately after the match," Olajire informed KickOffNigeria.com via email.
Players in camp:
Goalkeepers
Vincent Enyeama, Bamidele Aiyenugba, Greg Etafia

,,,in Yorubaland we have a saying:Na who we fit beat easily we go dey always bully besides...,if I recall, the last time Nigeria played Cameroun we BEAT Cameroun..and well all know THIS past ANC was not IT for Nigeria...Nigeria hasn't been the same since missing the World Cup in 2006....until now.I'm not saying this just for mouth, the Nigeria I've seen in the last two matches(in the last two weeks) is a far cry from the lackluster Super Eagles of the last two years.Have U seen the Garri Drinking Youtubes?Compare that to the yeye nonsense we were playing before...I'd say this confidently:In 3 months, the SE,if they keep finetuning their matches, will be wacking everyone in Africa. The jury's still out though, but I'd like to see them win away from home for starters..something we only seldom do
