Really, what is so right about that. Anybody that has a steady job and budgets well with good planning can visit all these places. The Gucci purses and the material things do not guarantee happiness. Let us be real. I hope it works out for them. Kanu is atleast 32, so it's the girl that I feel sorry for. She is 18 and might not know exactly what she is getting into.
People have done it before though. My best friend parents got married with the same age difference between them so it can be done, just don't assume that the money will make it easier. No Sir.

I am really at a loss as to how people could be saying so much about the bride's age and money. Goseiant specifically mentioned that 'when it's money, age doesn't count'. How on earth could you have insinuated that the babe married Kanu for money!!! On what basis? From all the stories in the papers and from Arochukwu guys, the babe's family are not paupers either. The dad is an accomplished engineer and the mother, an educationist. She is said to be intelligent and easy-going; no airs, even after Kanu came on!!!

On age, honestly, younger age marriage is more in some parts of the developed world than Naija even. You meet so many European women who are mothers (with two kids) at 21!!! If it's not bad for oyinbo, it could not have been bad for Amara, the new bride at 18.

Kanu Nwankwo's wife (Amara ) is my cousin.......I wish pple that are so fast to lable her a gold digger personally knew her. She is a beautiful and intelligent gurl and I’m convinced that they are getting married for all the right reasons.
Her marryin’ age is not such a taboo where I come from….. Girls in my Village tend to marry very young........my mom married at 17 and Amara's mom ( who is my mother's older sis) married young as well......She's 18, but she's quite mature for her age.
Since she was 16 a lot of men (even ones richer than kanu) started asking for her hand in marriage w/o even getting to know her and they've all been turned down.
Contrary to what was said about her, she was not a poor village girl waiting for a rich guy that was swept away by Kanu, She was an Abia State Univ student, she was spending Xmas in the Village, Kanu happened to drop by a ceremony that she attended she was introduced to her by a friend of his a year ago. They both started off as friends and it eventually bloomed into a relationship.
Nyways, I’m not about to tell her life story.
They will be wedded this Sat and it will be nice if pple wish upon them a happy marriage instead of insulting the poor little gurl.
