And talking about marriage age. For Godsake, I thought Nma lives outside Nigeria, New York City precisely. In this time and age, you want to tell me that you never heard several girls in the US who are married and have two or more kids at 22??? I guess people could turn the other side and get warped statistics when they want to prove their illogical assertions!!! Check out the average age of British married women. Please check. You seem to potray the babe as a gold-digger. I think ignorance has an antidote - it's called informative education!!!

And about the new bride knowing the real KANU, Madam Marriage Counsellor, find a job elsewhere!!! QED!!!

Who said it was?.....its quite normal in naija. Okay And comparing hers to her parents is crazy. who is comparing? I'm just making a point that women usually marry young where I come from......cos u know very well, that times now and then isnt the same! They do have a choice true but most ladies in Amuvi marry young up till this day....most women bak then were expected to graduate into motherhood (atmost) immediately after secondary skool.....and it wasnt such a common knowledge then for pple to really get to know pple b4 gettn' married to them. Both Kanu and Amara made the choice that it was the right time, they could care less about what society expects....men wwould usually spot a pretty face and seek for their hand in matrimony. Nne, you said it urself this is 2004, it will be dim-witted if they didn’t get to know each other.

And no one knows why she chose to marry him. And no one really needs to know but the two of them and loved ones......but u can't defend her genuine love for him with her parents' professions ?????? bcos even rich girls themselves still hope for richer men She was not born w/ a silver spoon, who said she was a rich gurl? she was not looking for a rich guy, she as well as every gurl I know was looking for love. She found it in Kanu who happens to be a wealthy man.......and fame could be a factor too. which fame is this one?

Like i said, i dunno her reason, but y the rush??...this chik is only 18 her choice....where is she rushn' to if she's that content and confident? so b/c she’s married she lacks content and confidence?......tryna lock Kanu own b4 someone else does? Kanu is a grown ass man, he is the one who propose to her. He must have seen something different in her from all the ladies he dated, don’t ya think?.......believe me she does not need to lock in anyone.

It's ignorant to proclaim her a golddigger just cos shes married to a rich man. Good pt......but i SERIOUSLY hope that she did this for all the right reasons tho....and not the seemingly obvious....and its equally important that she got the chance to know the REAL kanu in and out....not the sugar coated kanu everyone knows. Believe me SHE KNOW WHO SHE GOT MARRIED TO.

I hope ur last comment is as valid as the point i'm tryna convey!

Who the freak is tryna know her reasons for marrying so young?

And for heaven's sake cubb it chik!.....y are u runn'n around here aggressively actn' like u're gettn' paid full time for this crap?.....

And please do read my initial response b4, i did point out that just bcos her parents are financially comfortable, doesnt make her anti-green/fame.....stressn' the point that even rich gurls themselves want better greens....

This isnt to say that the chik is a golddigger (like i said in my last paragraph).....but i seriously wish she knows what she's gettn into....cos 18, whether in naija, US,....in any civilized world is still pre-marriage material.....but its her choice, and the deed is done so its a closed chapter!

Anybody can defend all they want but for a 32 year-old man of Kanu's caliber to be genuinely interested in an 18yr old girl is by all means questionable. It goes to show how one should never put our men on any form of pedestal. I'm sure kanu must have been bagging a lot of women in their mid twenties and voila time to pick a bride, the a-hole goes back home to dig out some little treasure he's been hiding. Please what form of love or understanding can there be betweeen a rich and famous 32 yr old man and an 18 yr old. lt's be realistic and stop defending insanity just because they are our relatives. Objectivity is the key to logical reasoning.

Well said. As Nigerians we tend to condone all sort of insanity once it becomes a trait in our family. Call a spade a spade, this is madness. For the sake of the love, i guess Kanu can't wait for her to graduate abi?
I don't congratulate the bride and groom o, but i congratulate the bride's family because in the financial region, they got nothing to worry about.

You had better get a life and stop show-boating and feeling like a lord here just because you got your dumb ass outta Naija to the US!!! Where are your manners? I have said it for the umpteenth time, some nincompoop nit-wits are not supposed to be admissible here. Access to the PC is not a licence to go petulantly haywire.

Raise objective points and not just continue to rabble-rouse!!! I have read several informative and very educative posts here in NR, but not this Hell-knows-where-she-jumped-from blockhead of a member!!!

DUMBSKULL!!!!
