Us Relay Team "Chickens Out"
I understand both U.S men and women failed to qualify in the heat because of baton change. Were they embarrassed about another overwhelming Jamaican win? I mean both men and women did not make it because they could not change some 'sticks'? I mean one of them is understandable but 2?

Even naija that usually performs well in this race didn't do well at all. The men didn't finish, the women came forth or fifth i think. It was a complete mess.

Thank you... that's like saying the Nigerian soccer team used supernatural means to whoop their competition in the games..Come on people ..really!!!...the jamaican track and field team doesn't have all the bells and whistles the US team had......And they still delivered. They target the team for testing like crazy, they even tested Asafa Powell 4 times before the games began, he complained about being weak from the loss of blood, and they still rocked.....I think that when the American's dropped their baton, the Nigerian team in the next lane was thrown off, because its unlike them to drop... I cheer for both flags, because they are my mother/fatherland...I can't lie though, everyone here is rocking gold, green and black with pride...JA stand UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

I think it was just an unfortunate incident. It had rained heavily and I believe the whole atmosphere was making people nervous.

Nigerian dad, Jamaican mum. Raised to love and RESPECt both countries and cultures. I was mad when Jackie Joyner Kersee won the bronze in the long jump and the Nigerian gold winner was not even interviewed. She was a nigerian police woman. Track and field is huge in this house... goes back to lurk mode
