Don't be funny Meddeen!! You keep saying the same thing over and over again. As a mar' of fact, I like this soccer discussion..let's keep it rolling! Okay, on the South American qualifying series going on, you seem to be forget that the same thing happened 3 years ago. Argentina finished first while Brazil finished at the bottom before the world cup. Guess what, Argentines were kicked out in first round- and that's with the squad FIFA thought was gonna make an impact. Don't be dissapointed when these Argentines fail woefully next world cup! And...don't worry about Super eagles making it to the world cup, we have skillful players that can get the job done...as you can see we have talents everywhere.

I thought you were talking about Angola because Angola have to play Gabon in their next match.
Anyway, you guys have been very entertaining on NR and I couldn't stop laughing since yesterday.

You thought? When you clearly stated wrongly that it's hard to win Algeria or even get a draw? Following that statement, why would I be talking about Angola? It's funny, you laugh even when nothing seems funny.

Argentina went out of the last world cup because of the manager Marcelo Bielsa. He should have used Lopez, Cresspo and Batistuta at the same time and he didn't. You also know that the favourites hardly win the worldcup.
Have you forgotten that since Brazil won the world cup in 1970, they didn't win it again until 1994? The reason for that is because they were favourites in all the other world cups. Being favourites is a very heavy burden because most teams play their best when they're playing the favourites.
Right now, Brazil are the favourites for next year's world cup, followed by Argentina. I'm telling you that Brazil will not win it because being favourites is not necessarily a good thing.
I'm enjoying the discussion, you sure do know about football. I like discussing with guys like you. BRING IT ON.

Correction PATNA...Brazil has always been favorites in any world cup they've featured in! Do you know a world cup is not a world cup without Brazil? Brazil is expected to win any tournament they featured in, Why? You said Brazil will not win, I hope so. Do you think Argentina's gon win? Flying eagles all the way!

Argentina and France were the first and second favourites to win the 2002 world cup in Japan and South Korea. Brazil were only the third favourites.
Yes, I do think Argentina's gonna win next year's world cup because it's going to be easier for them this time around since they're not the first favourites.
You guys (Nigeria) better try to qualify first before thinking of winning the worldcup.

You are still missing the point! Brazil is the most fearest team in the world, it doesn't matter who's playing them, it doesn't matter where they play at, any team playing them play with fear! Argentina have not been the same since the end of Maradonna era. Whether Brazil were third favorite or 8th favorite, the word favorite has qualified them to be loved. Like I said, Any tournament brazil features they are expected to win. No other country has that kind of expectation for them!

On the highlighted sentence, I believe every team suffers after the retirement of a legend especially when the legend is someone like Maradona. Even Brazil suffered after the retirement of Pele. They won the world cup 24 years after Pele's retirement.

Incase you've forgotten, Maradona made both of Argentina's goals against Nigeria and he was instrumental in Argentina's victory against Nigeria. He was also named man of the match OK. And for your information, Argentina only lost matches in 1994 world cup after Maradona had been banned. He didn't play in any of Argentina's defeats in that world cup OK.
It might interest you to know that Argentina have won the copa America (south American nations cup) 14 times. They've even won it more than Brazil although Brazil have won more world cups than Argentina. Argentina has also been to 4 worldcup finals winning 2 world cups. Argentina is one of the greatest football nations, hope you understand now.
