That is off no consequence. What matters is that Argentina are champions for the 5th time. They've won that competition more than any other team.

Thank God for that.
I simply won't agree to your biased analysis that Nigeria was the better team.

Make sure you have the correct information before posting.
Sierra Leone qualified for the African cup of nations in 1994 (Tunisia) and 1996 (South Africa) respectively. Please try and get all the facts before posting.

Congratulations o (my Argentina lover) at least Sierra Leone qualified for two consecutives African cups of Nation, but can you tell this panel of judges here the highest position Sierra Leone lay claim on throughout the two consecutive appearances they made?

Sierra Leone wnet out in the first round in both competitions. But in 1996 Sierra Leone beat Burkinafaso, drew with Algeria and lost to Zambia. We went out on goal difference. Incase you don't know, Sierra Leone was in the middle of a serious rebel war and yet they managed to qualify for back to back cup of nations. I'm proud of Sierra Leone OK.

Medeen...

..weda U like am or not..Argentina is one of both the most gifted countries in the world,soccerwise..but also the most evil on the field.Maradona was on drugs...Ortega was a diver...Heinze leads with both legs always when tackling...Diego Simeone once said something about an opponent's kid's terminal illness just to win a match....I mean..it just seems they always have the most drama out of South American teams..they could never win honestly..abi U don forget the Hand of God?How about bribing some other country(name escapes me) to let them score the 5 required goals go qualify for the 2nd Round in 1978?Olboy....go sleep..

I can see you're finding all the cynical excuses just to tarnish the name of Argentina. My friend "the hand of god" was all part of the brilliance of Maradona. What about the goal that voted as the greatest goal in world football by FIFA, I'm talking about Maradona's second goal against England n which he went past about 6 or 7 players including the goal keeper before scoring. Conclusion: MARADONA IS A FOOTBALL GENIUS.

Well Zambia was a more experienced country in terms of playing at the African cup of nations than Sierra Leone. Don't forget that Sierra Leone had poor preparations prior to the tournament because of the war.

...The 'Hand of God' was sheer football thievery. He uses the one thing U cant use in football and yet it counted....that is the difference between Brazil and Argentina.Brazil plays honest football with class...Argentina is nothing but a footballing rogue country that brings to the field what they lack in skill...have U ever seen Pele use hand of God?(and I've heard some morons compare Maradona to Pele...very laughable)..oh..now recorded facts na 'tarnish'? Olboy....like FELA said..Me and U nor dey for di same category...no dey even compare ya football sense for hia bro...I know countries that can beat Nigeria clean and neat..Brazil has proven it a few times..they even came to spank us silly in Abuja(a different story entirely) but then again who does not know the pedigree of Brazil?Germany plays honest football..so does England...Spain..Portugal....but Italy and Argentina try to win regardless if they have to import tactics unforseen from outer space...and please...stop mystifying Maradona...dat yeye crackhead...who knows what he was on when he played Nigeria sef..
