    Emeka Ike builds school...outstanding

    Naija Entertainment News

    Emeka Ike builds N200m school
They say star actor, Emeka Ike, just completed a N200 million school in Magodo, Lagos.
Here's what he had to say about the school
Emeka Ike "Basically, I feel Nigerian youths deserve better and we are seeing how we can correct one or two anomalies in the academic sector. We have schools without laboratories, no quality class rooms, no good facilities, so we are trying our best to get Nigerian youths together. It took me a while to complete the school, because I have some projects and if you ask me I want to get into hotel business. I already have some things going on for me like real estate. I wanted to start building the hotel but decided to abandon the hotel business for the school project. We love children and all that. It was a huge investment. I believe in building the Nigerian youths. It's not all about money, we are here to impact."

Can I say something? Emeka Ike was one of the reasons I stopped watching home videos. I didn't particularly like his acting and was never a fan, but for what he's done for the Nigerian youth...I love him now and when next I see him, I will say hello or even get an autograph.
I wish y'all could see the school this guy built. Magnificent! From Hotel where he could make serious money to building a school...God bless Emeka Ike.

The same people that called us idol worshippers b'cos we practice stuffs like - masquarade (sp), earth and tree worship etc are today doing exactly those same things. We now have earth day in the US, tree huggers, animal worshippers, if you go to Disneyland you'd find masquarades in all shapes and sizes~ His Majesty

Impressive... at last this man got a social redeeming value. Everyone will want to be on Emeka team now... Atleast he shows that he didn't drink his money away at "Winins" like most Naija actor do.

Just a quick question, is this a free school?
how much are the school fees?
How many Nigerian youth and their parents are going to be able to afford to go to this school?

    I'm just asking.

    P.S.
I don't want any "TM Hating on Emeka" posts.
i'm not in the mood to fight anybody, so if you do not have the answers to my questions, kindly move on.

obviously emeka must ve had sponsors 2 help him out....200million is nt a joke...infact i doubt if dis is a free school.

Can d government spend dis much on a school?

Geez, its 200milion naira not Dollars...Its alot of money but not something that Nigerian gov't cant provide at the snap of a finger for each States every year, if they have good management and accountability.

And why should the school be free, when you can make money out of it and use it towards building another school or something more progressive... Even without thinking about using money out of it towards any other projects, what about maintaining the school or the school going to stay the same all year long? Even money out of it can be used towards scholarship programs for less privilege students..

Ah Thickmadam, that was an expensive joke..

No matter the cost its an investment worthwhile. I just hope they have a very good school system structure.

I think Emeka has just finished building himself a money making machine. I don't see that boy spending 200million naira on charity. No way!

What is wrong with us as a people???

Oprah built a school the whole world clapped for her....one of our own built a school, and all we can do is send out doubts and negativity? WHat happened to being optmistic? And wishing him well? Seeing the job oppourtunities this school will create for many who need it? OR the quality of education that can be received?

Guess we are crabs in a bucket after all!

Definitely children of the very rich, the likes of Okoya's children, senators, ministers and governors cos even schools that were not built in such way and with as much as that court creme de la creme children. Gba o, more grease to your elbows Emeka for this great one.

I thought you were kidding? Why are you still asking if affordable? Abeg saved money and build you own school jare.. that many people popping children that they can't afford to take care of that will need the school, for free. You should buy them uniforms, pen and paper with free lunch too.

If you need a free school talk to your senators or local gov't chairman. Atleast if the school is not affordable, not many people will attend it and it will be neglected. Which means they will have to cut cost down by all means.

You never talk about people having children they can't send to school you are here yelling at a man for building a school. What is 200million in building a school when houses cost 15mill in Ikeja. This is school with atleast more than 20 classrooms, with other necessary buildings, play ground, furnitures and so on.. The budget is not far fetch for school and in any limited way, they will make their money without bleeding people to do it.
