Multi-Tribal Movie

That would require not just casting actors from various Nigerian tribes, but also giving them scripts in their native language. So, in a movie you use at least 3 different languages, but with English subtitles.

Can nollywood pull that off? What do yall think?

I think so. In fact I watched one such home movie a long time ago, don't remember the title. It had Dolly Nwachukwu in it speaking Igbo. And I quite enjoyed it, Igbo, Yoruba and English!Anyone remember it?

I think Temi Ni Nkem was kinda of a multicutural movie, though i havent seen it but the cast were mainly igbos and yoruba, though they spoke mostly yoruba i heard that they also spoke in igbo.
civil war might also be one.
i really think they should make more of such movies because whether its the naija english movies or yoruba movies i dont see nigeria, nigeria is a multiethnic country but showing igbos or yorubas doesnt make sense and not very realistic and it doesnt show a picture of the true nigeria.

Word! That's an area the moviemakers/scriptwriters should explore on. It might take alot of work, time and energy, but will be very rewarding as it would appeal to a wide range of ethnic groups.

Get a good storyline, great casting, good director and production team, and you'll get a blockbuster movie.

There's this very interesting comedy CIVIL WAR staring Rita Edochie, Ada Ameh, and John Okafor.

In the movie John Okafor was a Calabar man and married two wives, one was Igbo and the other was Yoruba.
They all lived in the same house and spoke three different languages which neither of them understood each other.
Its a very interesting film and very nice concept too.
And it was sub-titled too.

Oh my God, I just saw this movie yesterday. It was very good...totally, totally hilarious. Saw it yesternight, woke this morn, and watched it again. Concept was brilliant and I love John Okafor. Yep! they did three languages and managed to depict the conflict between the characters and their ethnic backgrounds with humour. It was just brilliant.

Not with my daughter- I think this is an old movie but its about an igbo girl that got married to an hausa muslim. Haven't finished it yet but it looks promising. Subtitles and everything...

CG, you're right. The movie is almost two or even three years old now. That's one movie you'll love without a doubt. It came out with three parts, but as of now I've not gotten my hands on the third part and am dying so badly to see it. They showed a glimpse of the third part at the ending of the second part, but I'm not sure if it was ever released.
