it is a different thing if the sweat is required, i just feel that is really disgusting seeing them sweat like that, i think they need to find out from directors and producers abroad on what type of technology is appropriate for that. Or may be they should always towel down before putting their clothes on for any scene or have under shirts on to soak the sweat.

this one go hard to solve for movies made here in naija o! this is due to our weather, lamps, the hurried nature of the job here etc.

A T-Shirt underneath won't be a bad idea for some people who sweats profusely. When I'm ready to work on a movie, I won't mind them changing their shirts more than once.

The solution to the problem is to have a "holding" room for the actors if they can't afford to have trailers for them. They can have a room off the set - a room in the mansion or where they are shooting that has an AC or Fan so the actors can stay there to cool off until the shot is ready. In the mean time, they can have extras or a "waka pass" serve as a "stand in" for the actor while the shot is being discussed and set. The make up artist can do but so much....(1) they probably don't have blotting paper and if they do its expensive. (2) make up sponge is expensive...they can't keep using the wet nasty one and they can't afford to dispose of them like they can here (3) most of those sets don't have make up artists...folks do their own make up. I am sorry I don't believe they do b/c all those actresses look the same to me in every movie and I can't believe its the same make up artist following them to all those movies sets. Genevieve's makeup looks the same whether she's playing a rich movie star OR a middle class man's girlfriend...
In the States, actors chill in their trailers until the director is ready to shoot their scene and there are actors who are paid to be "stand ins." I can't stand to see all that sweating and even worse still is when the actor pulls a nasty looking towel or hankerchief to wipe his fore head. The women look horrendous too...the make up running down their faces, their clothes clinging to their arm pits. They just look sweaty and itchy!
I don't want to see anyone looking like a walking fountain UNLESS they are stressing, selling pure water, running for their lives or in post coital bliss!
AND STOP PUTTING FOLKS IN BLACK AND OTHER DARK COLORS THAT ATTRACT HEAT....Desmond Eliot, you hear me so!!!? STOP IT!

...wait a minute now, I happen to know why these so called actors sweat so much.
If I take money from about 10 different people, promising all of them say I go appear in their movies all within the same day, (eventhogh I know it's practically impossible), how I no go get nervous & sweat like a pig everytime I'm on a set?

Are you talking of Nollywood or another industry? Let me enlighten you, Nollywood is a place where 20 scenes are shot in a day, money dictate the pace of the production. You heard them taking pride in saying “we can finish a complete film (part 1 & 2) in 8 days”, None of them really like the idea but it’s because of the budget.
Can you believe that despite all these rushing and all, most of the time the actors never see or (care) to read there script until the day of shooting?
No chance to leave the set for second makeup or rest inside a room with A/C in Nollywood o
