Can you believe that despite all these rushing and all, most of the time the actors never see or (care) to read there script until the day of shooting?
No chance to leave the set for second makeup or rest inside a room with A/C in Nollywood o
Some projects do not even distribute their scripts until the first day of shoot so how is that the actors fault. Most people in Nollywood are afraid of others stealing their ideas. The things that BB suggested works but people don't do it because they have never even heard of it or they are too cheap to consider it. Anyway, I am tired of all dis talk talk sef.. we are just repeating ourselves and it is getting boooooring

CT...people keep saying "its Nollywood"...."that's how Nollywood is" blah...blah...blah and so that is cool? So that means a change cannot be effected? I can understand if its an exterior scene being shot BUT if its in a house, what's the issue? I am sure most of the homes they borrow have an AC or at the very least a fan...so where in lies the fiscal wahala there? Turn the thing on and put them near the darn thing until the scene is set or have one of those hanger ons/cousins/wives/brothers/sisters/aunts who come to eye ball the celebrities work for their opportunity by fanning the celebrities between scenes....I don't know! But what I do KNOW for sure is that those scenes are nasty looking...I feel like taking a shower after I see them.

Now how can you achieve this if you are going to shoot a three part film in 10 to 14 days ... impossible

Don't get me wrong o, I am not saying what they are doing is okay, I am just telling you the practical reality that can never be achieved with mini budget they run there productions on. When ever I shoot in Holland, I don't have such problems. But in Nigeria; you can not help but just rush to finish the whole thing before your main actor or actors disappeared.

I remember when I shot "Dapo Junior" (in Holland) Saint Obi was complaining that the time we spend in shooting a scene in can be used to complete a whole film in Nigeria. He was proud of there style, that they are so good with time because (according to him time is money) although at last he came to appreciate the idea of "putting every details into consideration".

@Ijeoma and BarbieJ...are you all reading the same posting the rest of us are responding to? Nobody here is saying sweating is an abnormal activity. Sweating is natural, of course especially in a hot climate such as Nigeria's. All everyone here is saying that if a scene is indoors why is the person sweating so profusely? Look at the scene with Desmond Eliot and the ladies in Games Women Play...I mean, what the heck...the man was sweating as if he had run a marathon! They are in the house of a supposedly successful stock broker and there is no AC or fan? They need to control that issue b/c it makes things unbelievable. If a character is NOT running, selling akara on the street, begging for money between cars on the highway, about to be shot or busted in a drug deal gone wrong OR SOMETHING...they shouldn't be sweating like that at the dinner table!
