When people lament.
I was in class today and ready for lectures as usual and in my usual quiet mood i was looking at everyone talk, shout and say all that happened or they experienced during the weekend...then my attention suddenly drew closer to these three guys discussing, and their discussion went like this....
1st guy: Men, i no dey come school throughout dis week if we no do anything today o, seriously.
2nd guy: see you, so after the one week break wey dem give u, e still never do, u wey be say u dey wake for 11 o clock for morning, na becasue of school u dey manage wake for 8 o clock
1st guy: Thats me o, i cant sleep a day without watching midnight movies and u dont expect me to wake up early after sleeping at about 2 in the midnight.
3rd guy: which movies do u watch?
1st guy: Foreign films and maybe Nigerian films.
2nd: You watch Nigerian films? God forbid bad thing...what do u enjoy in that? They are so wacked, infact i cant spare 5 mins of my time to watch them
3rd guy: Me too o, na only nigerian films u go see say when dem dey shoot the gun shot dey sound before dem even make move to shoot. And u would hear the person pointing gun saying "i will shoot u now" and the victim would say "If you shoot me, i would die"...(THEY ALL LAUGH)
Ist guy: Its not like i watch them anyways, but i think some of them are trying now,but really i hardly watch nigerian films.
2nd guy: They lack creativity. And all their stories are the same, they just add something different. And all those their love titles...love in the air, love has come, love is dying, two can play love. (THEY ALL LAUGH)
1st guy: But i think they have stopped the love now, its now Family stories.
3rd: Anyway, i still think they suck, i aint got no time to waste on any movie that is nigerian. Time is very dear to me o, i wont watse it on a nigerian movie.
And all along i was watching, smiling and nodding, but take it or leave it, these guys have a point, whenever it concerns nigerian movies, everyone always has something to say, even those who claim they dont watch it, if only these words would gear the film makers up to improve, am crazy about nigerian movies but then its the good ones and maybe average sha, i am looking forward to a day when naija movies would be as great as our music and would be appreciated just like every nigerian has come to appreciate nigerian music.....for how long are we going to wait hope that nollywood as it is called would get better, maybe soon, maybe next 10 years, maybe 100 years, maybe never, but lets think, if u ask me i think just 30% are doing just well, but is that enough? No, not so? We need to improve, i really felt bad about those guy's conversations but dare not join or intrude, wouldnt be able to face all the opponents that would follow.

You should have seen the way I was rolling!
I agree with some of their points. I mean, Nollywood lacks creativity. I've mentioned this in one thread-Creativity: Nigerian music or Nigerian movie. I enjoyed your gossip though.

My sister, i didnt record the conversations, but tried to remember all they said and put it here.
Stooped for nollywood? With the way those guys were going, no amount of words from me would convince those guys and me i dont talk to anyone of them, am usually quiet and dont think it would be nice to get lashed by those guys....the way they kept saying it, as if their is nothing good to come out of Nollywood. Am sure when we start tidying up things in nollywood, everything would stop.
