Ladi-Ladebo films
Does anyone remember any of his movies? I was surfing http://www.ladi-ladebofilms.net and I found his movies. I consider these movies true African movies because it's theatre in its purest form. I remember when I used to watch them when I was younger....I used to love them men. I don't know if his movies are extinct now or something because they're like selling them for so much money....I didn't know it was that serious sha.

You're welcome. I really like those movies too, and even though it sounds crazy, I might just get them...

Have you seen any movie made by him? I saw Eewo (Taboo) and another on screen. His films are not the usual Nollywood fare. They are intelligent, highly visual and not really for mass consumption. I interviewed him in 92 I think, for a magazine I worked for as one of the editors back then. He makes documentaries and even his features are docu-flavored, but very professional. Compared with him, Ola Balogun, also of his generation, is very simplistic. His movies are not mass products though and often sponsored from outside Naija based on some message - often medical (AIDS, what have you). I respect him a lot. Very intelligent and sensitive egbon in the business.

I totally agree. I think I've seen Eewo, does it have Kanran or Gbenga Adewusi in it? Is Mr. Ladebo really old? and does anyone know if he plans on making anymore movies?
