Movies watched: Faces of Africa, Sweetest Gift etc

Sorry if I am not posting this in the right place but I was unable to post on the other thread.

Ok I am way behind in my homvie watching. I watched the following movies in the past couple of weeks:

Faces of Africa - Rita D, Oge
Rivals Rita and Oge just fight over who has the best of the best ( cars, clothes etc etc) on Campus. This was pretty much a vain topic for me. It was terribly dragged out, it was ridiculous. It has a part 3 sef and all I could do was scream at the end, "Part 3 kei"????

And the title, where did that one come from? I don't even know what to rate it.

Sweetest Gift - Can't remember the name of the actors. But just think of the story of Romeo and Juliet, except when "Juliet" takes poison to kill herself, "Romeo" thinking she is dead, takes the poison himself and dies. But mysteriously "Juliet" wakes up and sees "Romeo" laying there dead. BUT OH, all of a sudden "Romeo" awakens from his "fake death" and Romeo and Juliet live happily ever after.

Yes, my thoughts exactly, "HUH"???

1/10 - just becos it is a one part movie.

The Ultimate - Pat Attah, Stephanie Okereke, Osifo , Chidi M.

Interesting movie, I must say, but it was slightly a poor attempt in duplicating scenes from something like , Law and Order or CSI , there is suspense but predictable at the same time. It was not a bad movie but it was not all that good either. I just had mixed feelings about it. I think the problem is they started off great, great storyline and then it just went into an entire different directions.

It started out with a young boy losing his parents and then his Uncle ( who was a musician and his caretaker ). His very close friend in primary school ends up leaving the school and he is left all alone and he eventually raised by his grandmother. And then he grows up to be a musician and runs into his old friend from primary school who turned oht to be Steph. Okereke's xter. But Steph is involved in a relationship with the President's son played well by Chidi Mokeme and of course you know exactly where this is leading to.

7/10

Ladi, you're right on point with the analysis of this movie. I already opened a thread on it somewhere, but I needed someone to help out with the synopsis. I guess you finally did that. Thanks
