If you say reality shows are the in-thing in Nigeria now, you will not be far from the truth. Another one is just by the corner and is getting set to make viewers stay glued to their TV sets.
Intern Reality TV show is the ‘new kid on the block’. And now, six pretty girls have topped the list of 10 graduate finalists who emerged from The Intern boot camp to jostle for the big prizes. The upcoming Intern Reality TV show is an enterprise-focused reality TV show that plays the wits and genius of 10 Nigerians against each other as the viewing public decides who wins or who flunks out.
The girls are Rhona Ahanonu, Ogechi Osueke, Amina Ebele Idris, Abosede Alimi and Eudokia Jumbo and Benedicta Okolie. Benedicta, who made the first 10, has however stepped down due to her wedding plans and has therefore been replaced by Ayodele Oguntubi. Only four guys made the final list.
Cameras would be following them around as they carry out their IQ tasking business briefs. According to Kunle Hamilton, consulting publicist to The Intern, “It all goes to show that female Nigerians are just as gifted and intelligent as their male counterparts and in all spheres of our national life. Nobody should be discriminated against.
Hamilton informed Life and Beats that the star prize of N3million, a new KIA RIO 2006 model, automatic employment, a new laptop, an MBA scholarship and a full executive wardrobe goes to the winner.
“But everyone gets to take home some lovely gifts too. The first and second runners-up will win N1million and N750,000 respectively, plus automatic employment, new laptops, MBA scholarships and executive wardrobes. The remaining seven finalists will also get automatic employment, new laptops, executive wardrobes and cash equivalent of points earned during the show,” Hamilton added.
