Nigerians abroad are proud of Nollywood

Talented actress, Nkiru Sylvanus who broke into lime light years ago with her five star performance in the explosive, highly emotional movie, ‘A cry for Help’ recently came back from a trip to Europe where according to her they were well received and pampered by Nigerians. She said “Nigerians abroad are proud of our exploits in Nollywood, in fact I was treated like a princess.”

The beautiful actress in a recent interview in Lagos, explained that the trip was to shoot a movie and they also used the opportunity to tour different countries in Europe for shows, according to her, it was a wonderful unforgettable experience.

She disclosed that the team comprised of a team of dancers from Benin, Desmond Elliot, Taiwo Oduala, the director, adding that among the places they visited were Greece and Holland. She expressed gratitude to the Nigeria’s ambassador to Greece who gave them a warm reception.

Nkiru Sylvernus had appeared in over 150 movies since her first appearance in ‘Conspiracy’ in 1999. She also stared in ‘Out of cage’ but the movie that shot her to limelight and prominence is ‘A cry for Help’ which she is identified with. It also earned her the name ‘Cry cry baby.’

The star actress who loves praying every time said prayer is her life and that she is grateful to God for making her what she is today. She disclosed that her most joyous moment was when she made her first one million naira. “I had to lock the door, scream, counted and recounted it. In fact today I am happy and I remain ever grateful to God and my uncle who introduced me to the industry,” she said.
