Dreams do not die even when the dreamer dies provided it had been told to the public, some one will live to tell it.This dream, the dream of redressing the Niger Delta question in the country was dreamt by our brother, the late Isaac Adaka Boro some decades ago when he set out to propose the answer to the Niger Delta problem.
This enormous problem, as it was perceived owes its credit to the towering efforts of a producer and an ace actor Bioghalagha Rosemary Makalah who has decided to showcase the legacies of Adaka Boro in an epic film which would hit the movie market soon.
Speaking to the Weekend Tide Entertainment in a press conference in Port Harcourt recently, at Mina Hotels Ltd, the director of the indigenous film, Mr. Tarila Thompson disclosed that the film is an ensemble of the historic works, lives and times of the legend Isaac Adaka Boro who purportedly championed the Niger Delta cause that have continued till date to remain an enigma.
Tarila Thompson who had directed many movies in the country stated that a cannadian firm maker had already entered into partnership with the producer to assist in the production arrangements.“We have gotten the attention of every one to produce the film. This is one of the ways we want to reach out to the world to know the role and vision of the founding father of the Niger Delta spirit.” “You see, the character in question was actually not a violent man and he never pioneered any violence in the region. He upheld our culture to the historical extreme,” she said.
Lady Makalah in her response disclosed that she was bent on pulling resources together to get the film produced even though it involved combining her job with the film production.“I want to tell you that it is only the police force that can project the image of Isaac Adaka Boro to an enviable height having come from the area where oil was first found in the country, we have three months to come out and portray the ideals of Makalah foundation,” adding that they are recruiting over three thousand actors and actresses of different extraction.
