Tell the Nollywood producers...
...what improvements you would like to see in the way naija homvies are made.
This is not a discussion thread, but a kind of "Feedback Box",where you pass by and drop a feedback or two about nolly homvies and what could and should be done to improve the contents and the delivery.
Drop feedbacks from the script quality to the cover design.Anything that you feel needs working on.
THIS IS NOT A YABBIS THREAD O!
This is meant to help them serve you better.

1. Be sure to edit your movies before putting them out for public consumption. Check them well for mistakes and such.
2. If possible, have a netural person "review" the movie before unleashing them on us.

What they need to do is stop dragging scenes.

Great sticky Vince. Will be back each time I watch a Naija movie and something nags at me.
Please hire proper costumers (sp) who know what they are doing.
Abeg, please, be true to the period you are working in. People and furniture should not look the same 20 years apart!
Please rep our culture in your movies. Why must everyone be watching an oyinbo movie anytime they are watching TV in those homvies?
Abeg, like someone said, edit properly and watch the finished product before release. Too many times I have seen a scenes out of sequence.
Stop trying to be so european/American particularly in dressing and in naming characters. Abi Funmi no dey Naija? Why should everyone be named Sandra?
Will be back!

Please stop mispelling the names of the artists abeg...
and please dont put everyone in the film in the trailer it gives it away....
and also... please use different houses for locations abeg they are not the only houses in lagos!! its starts to look like every film is a part 2 of another if they all live in the same house
finally please dont pack everybody in the poster its not a fight for space....
thanks for your co-operation viva nollywood!

SOUND! SOUND! SOUND! Improve your sound quality and no more part 15 etc when you make movies. 2.5 hrs should be enough to tell your story in movies!!!!! Give movie characters local names and please stop drinking (sipping) beer with those rid ridiculously long straws. Use a beer mug or tumbler!

The most important is too come back down to NIGERIA with YOUR plots props we can't hammer enough on dat
Secondly, I want to hear more nigerian accents and pidgin and villeage more local types scenes
Please nomore part 2-7 " that was cool for things fall apart only use more than one parts when ABSOLUTLY necessary.
No more aki and paw paw rich flaunty movies. I can't stand it. WE can't stand it. Go back to acting like little naughty boys. Not to bring them down or anything.
will be back with more

Repeat!
Great contributions so far,guy!
Just one more thing i ommitted in the opening post, and that is you're all free to repeat a particular request over and over again,on different posts.
Even if a particular feedback point(FP) has already been mentioned, either by yourself in previous post,or by another, mention it again if you feel it is important enough.
This is a way of stressing the importance of that particular FP to the producers taken note.
For ex.if you feel that minimizing or outright haulting of "plot padding" is important, repeat the request over and over again in your subsequent posts.
This will drive home the importance to the producers.
So,guys,repeat,repeat,repeat!

Scenes drag on too long, one looses interest
Too many movies have the music louder than the dialogue-tasteless
Please don't have them wearing the same shoes 20 yrs later
if you can't tell your story in 2 hours, it's too damn long
Please edit the movies before release, for typos in the credit, sound mixing/editing, and bloopers!!! Too many bloopers make it to the final cut!!
Through plot/Xter development---PLEASE!!!

-Make sure we dont see the microphone used for the shooting.
-Be conscious of the shadows in the room.
-The volume should be adjusted and not set too loud.
- Continue to use Nigerian based artiste music in the movies -they are good enough !
-We need to start viewing movies that portray Nigeria in a positive light, create or put out juicy scripts that for once show folks who actually go to collage study and become notable professionals.Reduce the campus girl image and women cheating with married men scenes.
-Select more scripts that promote sex after marriage and chastity !
-Invest in new cover designs for the movies to advance marketing on the international level.
- Showcase a lot of local fabrics and designs in the custuming.
- Lets have a better view of the interiors of fine offices, stores salons etc. We seem to only see places of business that are shabby in our movies. Try to show us the joints that are attractive.
