The "first 20 something minutes" nollywood teasers
Conventional viewership wisdom says that the first 20 minutes of a flick determines how good or bad the rest of it is going to be.
Not always true, but most of the time,it is correct.
So i have started posting the first 20 something minutes of the major nolly productions for you guys to assess.
The first flick to come under the microscope is SITANDA in 6 teasers.

Well done Vince! For dat i will post some more EOP clips this weekend!
BTW, Sitanda isnt a good example to use in that theory, bcos the film went from being one I wanted to watch to one I couldnt finish, but that was after a good 40mins!!!!
I went to kitchen to rustle up something and by the time I came back, we were in ancient times, I dont really enjoy those period pieces, so I never finished it

Kikis, you misunderstood my intention.I am posting these flicks for folks to assess for themselves, whether this conventional wisdom of the first 20 minutes is always true or not.
According to you,SITANDA did not really fulfil this wisdom.
Let's see what others think, after they've seen the whole flick.
More flicks are coming up.
BTW,waiting for the EOP clips.I love the xters in that soap.

Sure, I was merely commenting on that one movie as not being a good one to test the theory, so we'll see what others think.
As an aside, what did you think of Sitanda?. Is there a thread on it already?

I haven't seen the entire flick, but so far so good.I had to interrupt midway because of some few things that i have to do.
It is very visual, and that is always a big plus in my book,as far as nollywood flicks are concerned.
I hate homvies in which all the xters do is sit around like logs of wood and yap like parrots, scenes after scenes. They bore the living daylight out of me.I call such homvies,"Sittie-Talkies".

Thats true. Izu is really good and sitanda was a great examples. We need deep stories like that with strong onscreen characters. i wish u were seeing the whole of EOP so u would feel it more. Doris Simeon should feature in more english productions. She really delivers and i like Carol King (Asabe Anyawu) a lot. Her young daughter Ada is also a natural actress. I like it when i see new comers of this nature, not those ones who are fortunate enough to get what they dont deserve.

MW, EOP wasnt on last night? What gives? Maybe they're taking a break before the start of a new season?. I want Azizat Sadiq back, she was a good sidekick to Ada Anyannwu, who as you rightly said, is a brilliant young natural actress

Yes they are taking a break for the next season. I also want Azizat back but she left when she was handling the Amstel malta thing. Her contract with them says she musnt do any movie or production while her contract lasted. Her contract don expire cos they have a new AMBO winner so they should be able to bring her back. Kikkis, mnet has more explosive naija series in stock for us this year and the ones coming so watch out.
