Angry These Nollywood movies sef with their Part 1, 2,3 etc....

As an avid Nollywood fan, I for one am getting really cheesed off with the introduction of several parts to one simple movie. What's up with that???? I can just about stomach a movie being divided into Parts 1 and 2, but to now introduce Part 3 to a movie less than 2 hours long is absolutely ludicrous!!!!!!!!!

I am beginning to feal cheated after I buy a movie only to discover that each disc only lasts 30 minutes or so and that includes the rubbish trailers that take up a fair chunk of that time.

I am pretty sure that there was a time that Naija movies used to last 45-60 minutes per disc and that was when the movies had better storylines than the rubbish being churned out now only to be dragged over 3 parts with those obvious time wasting tactics like the party scenes or the dating scenes

You're right. Nollywood producers are taking unnecessary advantage of our love for Nollywood movies. As a result of the mass production of Nollywood movies being churned out, we hardly get value for money these days. It's a real shame.

I feel like I am being taken for a Mug

Have people also noticed that they have now modified the VCDs so each part now has 1 disc instead of two and then they write Disc 1 and 2 on that one disc?

I am really beginning to get fed with this Nonnsenssssse......... (get it?) Not only are they reducing how much a movie lasts, they are also benefitting by using less "raw materials" so we the customers get less value for money and are therefore being ripped off!!!!!!!

Oh most definitely, having one disc for a film instead of two is much better. What really gets up my nose is how they now churn out rubbish that last 45 mins or so on one disc, then you have to buy the part 2? Why can't they include the part 2 as the second disc? Or even better still, think of investing in DVDs so that one can watch the movies in one go.

Na wa O!!!!!!!

I see what you are getting at however, at least each of these films mentioned above lasts 2 hours or more...the last spiderman was 2 hours 19 minutes, the lord of the rings trilogy were almost 3 hours each and the last pirates of the carribean was almost a bum numbing 2.5 hours.

I feel I am at least getting good value for money then. How long did each disc of "Games Men Play" last?

Also one can decide not to watch the sequels of these films except for the long of the rings trilogy (which is based on novels which makes it different) as each part more or less comes to a conclusion. With Naija movies you have to watch part 2 or or the newly introduced 3rd part to get to the movie's conclusion.

Will u believe that I bought about seven movies when I went to NY last two weekends and I have yet to finish the first one....and that is yahoo M.....they are all part two movies but I think I am just tired of naija movies period....the interest is no longer there...i have new movies untouched but yet i find myself watching the older ones I totally enjoyed watching...maybe it is the actors in the movies these days that has killed my interest or whatever. The funny thing is that, about four of the movies are Rita Dominic movies, my favorite these days but still I cannot finish watching the first one...i tried the second one only to stop right in the very first part.

Not to mention that each sequel of those flicks she mentioned had their own separate scripts. They don't stretch one single script to breaking point the way nollywood does.
Nollywood go take a script wey suppose be 90 minutes in lenght and pad am sotey, e come be 180 to 220 minutes! And voila,3 parts don surface be dat!How nonsense and jagbajantis no go enter?
Make we no compare,abeg.

So true...... Their favourite is to have a party scene that lasts a whole 5-10 minutes or a date that lasts another 10 mins. Who do they think wants to watch people eating or dancing for 10 mins?
