remember the scene in boomerang when
David Alan Griers parents went to Thanksgivin dinner in Eddie Murphys house and went to the bathroom to do the "BANG, BANG BANG" as old as they are, and actress BEBE DRAKE MASSEY (the mother), walked out of the bathroom after having all the sex, dressed all unbottoned, hair messy, yet walked out the bathroom with her head high like nothing happened, chewing her gum (that hilarious scene). Thats exactly how i will walk off.

i totally agree, i really wish i could get more YMG subtitled movies to watch.
That is why i always say i prefer the local ghanaian movies much more than the Beyonce or Princess tyra and whatnot, cos its so real, no pretenses. The same way i love Tchidi village set movies cos i am guaranteed to hear no faking and forced accent to make my ear ache.

Joke may do it and it flows, but please dont copy Joke or Bimbo cos theirs comes out natural and Yours Doesnt - it seems forced - I blame the directors who are not seeing this and nor correcting them to stay true tothemselves cos of how they come across when they speak like that.
I admire actors like Rita, Genevieve, Mercy, Jackie and late Suzie williams cos "their accent" sound very very natural and there is not detection of faking- though i am not a big chioma chukwuka fan, i respect the fact that she NEVER fakes her accent, she is real!!
3. MIKE EZEROUNYE
4. BOB MANUEL UDOKWU
5. DESMOND ELLIOT
6. NONSO DIOBI
7. MCMAURICE NDUBUEZE - I dont understand what the hell this guys says whenever he speaks.
8. INI EDO (when she acts in a city type movie as compared to village movie - prime example Most Wanted Bachelor)
9. Juliet Ibrahim (though she acts in ghana movies, she is not even ghanaian so, i dont know what mixer of accent she has? either way its annoying)
Are you all so insecure that you have to fake it to make it .To all of the above named, enough of the rolling of the rrrrrrrrr- it sounds ridiculous. HOw they try to intone certain accents into their words and the rolling or the RRRRRRR is so effing annnoying .Watch their mouth as they do that - (mike ezerounye try and sit down and watch ya own movies for once and see what we see), they are trying to sound a mixer of british and americana. Van for the most part you speak the ghana accent but please lay off the ghettofied "you know what I'm saying man?" (that friend of yours in the movie beyonce was the epitome of a jackass accent)- its not cute, we all know you lived in NY for a few yrs back in the day Van, but speak your ghanaian accent.
Nadia too, yes she did live abroad a bit, even a bit longer than van did, but for the most part she doesnt slang,or fake with no damn rrrrrrrr. , At times you'd hear the intonations here and there, but for the most part She speaks her typical ghanaian way, she sounds no different to me than the many educated girls from legon (her alma mater) or tech university campus. The whole point is someone faking it and it sounding so terrible in ones ears cos you know they are just F-O-R-C-I-N-G IT. There is difference btwn hearin Joke or Bimbo speak vs Stephanie or Mike speak. One seems forced, the other doesnt.
Love Jim Iyke when he acts himself as he has been doing so since his comeback. Absolutely adore his acting when he speaks his own accent and not fake it like he use to in the past. So real so good. Thank God he heard all the critiques and toned down.
South africans do NOT imitate any ones accent, their films have won oscars, emmys, and other global awards. Watch out now, Kenya is coming up.

Atlakos;587288]if i see mike face to face like i told you the last time, i will approach him calmly approach him with a beautiful smile
and once i am face to face with him, i will SCREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMM LOOUUUUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Then simply walk off and smile at him and say "now you know how i feel when i watch your movies" - NONSENSE, and whilst we are at it drop that fake accent and be yourself. ACT, the damn movie.

Time without number I've written that Stephanie is not faking it. If you haven't heard Stephanie in person on a regular conversation then don't come to conclusion that she's faking the accent.
In fact, almost all the top actors fake their accent it's just that some do it better than the others. Besides, the problem lies with the directors.
