Whose life story can be a film subject?
We all complain about Nigerian directors stealing American film ideas (The Last Don, Two can Play that Game etc) and also that the films all have the same theme (witchcraft etc etc) then maybe we can drum up some ideas. What book would you recommend be made into a movie? And whose story do you think demands to be told? I'd like to see a biopic about the lives of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti', his mother a great civil right leader, Dele Giwa and Ken Saro-Wiwa. Also I think the book "The Beautyful Ones Are Yet Not Yet Born" would make a wonderful script. We all cried over the movie based on Nelson Mandela's life but we have our own civil rights leader/activists/revolutionaries whose story we silent while we make useless films about get rich quick schemes, cheating boyfriends, wayward sugar daddy loving women, rabid pastors, juju doctors etc.
How about films depicting our strengths and struggles? I want to see Nollywood actors take a real person's life and put it on screen then make us believe they are that person...who do you think could play Femi? Who has his charisma? I don't see anyone in Nollywood tackling it....
Lets hear it, people....

En en, i didn't know they did a movie on dat man o. I'll look out for it. I didn't know the person has to be a naija now, i thought u meant anyone.
I'll go for Herbert Macaulay or Obafemi Awolowo. Those two were one of those who put naija on the map.

definately a film of FELA ANIKULAPO- KUTI that man lived a bizarre yet interesting life, his squabbles with the government and soldiers, and most especially focusing on his music and lyrics,so it will be good to see a film bout that

There was a movie about ANINI (the notorious) but it didn't come out because the family of the diseased made a case or somehow asked that it should be released in order not to open up an old rotten wine bottle.
