Shalis, would you mind telling us where you got this "story" from? If you cannot confirm it, then I will delete the thread. You should never say such things unverified.

It is late in Nigeria now and no one is picking up Segun's phone. Uche Osotule who is still awake says she hasn't heard any such thing. I just spoke with Nnaji and she did not mention it, so where did you get your gist?

Thank you Area Fada. It's about time something is done about this hoax of a thing. Some years back, I was in Germany and somebody said that Ann Njemanze had an accident and was confined to a wheel chair and due to that she has committed suicide. I wasn't seeing her in movies for a long time so I thought it might be true, but to my uttermost amazement, I saw her in the movie Market Women, and A date with the Queen. I think when people post messages that are unverified, the best thing is to delete before more people carry it far. Thanks.

Sola, the author shalis wants confirmation that's all. I do not think he or she is out to start a rumor. We can ask questions like these here right? Afterall, this is a place for confirmation to situations like that. Having said that, I pray that it's not true.

@ shalis, accept my apologies if I sounded a little hard on you. Segun has been a friend since 1986 when we were both members of Anansa Playhouse at the National Theatre and did several stage plays together. Over the years, we have done things at NTA, music studios like Klink, etc. Hell, we even chased one of the actresses on this website together and both lost out! I still spoke extensively to him in the UK in December, so you will understand if I get a little upset at this sort of question. He's an important part of my history in the arts.

I'm going to keep on reaching out to Lagos though...
