    Tinsel, an MNET soap!

Tinsel, an mnet soap! showing from 1st september

TINSEL is MNET AFRICA's first ever Nigerian soap-opera,originally created as localized content for international satcast on MultiChoice's premium Dstv formats.
Shot on location in Lagos,Nigeria, with the most sublime filming/programming artistry,TINSEL is that thought-provoking daily soap-opera that the Nigerian film industry can be proud of.

A compelling storyline of romance, passion and intrigue in a world of glamour,TINSEL brings to the fore, the utopian representation of the Nigerian film industry of our dreams...

Its starting to show from 1st of september by 8pm or so...

The strong point of a hit TV series lies in the story which is expected to be rendered impeccably by a cast of inimitable characters.A story so well plotted that it lobs in our general direction an unadulterated medley of intrigue, passion, romance, and a battle of wills...set most originally against a backdrop of the Nigerian film industry!
This here is lights,camera,act-on!....welcome to TINSELTOWN yall.

    THE STORY...POWER TUSSLE.

Fred Ade-Williams, the enigmatic founder of Nigeria's biggest film company,"REEL STUDIOS" is drawn into a battle of wills with daring newcomer, Brenda "Nana" Mensah, whose beauty and intelligence is only surpassed by her drive to transform her film company,"ODYSSEY PICTURES" into a dominant force.
And she will stop at nothing...!

Brenda has installed a "weak -link" in Fred's company...a mole! and her exploitation of this sparks off a corporate war that resonates throughout the entire film industry. What originally starts out as a power struggle between two influential studio owners soon grows disastrously out of control. No one is immune and everything is put to the test as the clash of these TITANS changes the lives and destinies of everyone far and near!

With so much at stake, will Fred's refusal to stoop low to his "opponents" level cost him everything he's ever held dear?

    INFIDELITY...

Reginald Okoh, head of productions at REEL STUDIOS is a creative genius whose marriage is almost torn apart by his lost for his most efficient and beautiful personal assistant,Angela. But when Reginald and wife,Amaka decide to start a family, the seemingly docile Angela becomes possessive and refuses to let go!

Amaka discovers the truth of Reginald's affair and gives him an ultimatum-he must choose between her and Angela. But Angela is not going to be discarded off so easily, and Reginald soon discovers that hell has no fury like a woman scorned.

    SELF GRATIFICATION...

In a bid to only get a nod of approval from his rather infallible "LION" of a father, Philip Ade-Williams, son of the film mogul (Fred) finds himself in a world all by himself!
The fast talking, strikingly good looking risk taker is one QUENTIN TARANTINO disciple who would stop at nothing to have more control of the studio's workings and make less conservative films.

With a very "avant-gardish" approach to the concerns of film, Philip is sure without bias, one character to keep the eyes locked on

Nigeria first original Soap Opera?? that was funny..

I hope its not going to be filled with commercials. But I bet it will because traditional commercial routine still exist in Nigeria.

Reel studios, owned by Fred Ade-Williams is having the media launch of her latest film project" LAST CALL". Fred proposes yet another collaboration with foreign film giant and partners World Movies. He vests confidence publicly in Reginald to run the newly formed production department...a huge portfolio...right in front of Phillip! ...supposed heir to the estate of the Ade-Williams'.
1.How does Philip recoil from the public blow?
2.Does Reginald really feel comfortable about this promotion?
3.Fred... oh... Fred what is his plan?

Kikis,I must agree with u on the overpolished aspect. I saw bits of it y'day and that kept recurring to me.
