Exclamation A new name for Gollywood

O.k to all Ghanaians out there how do you feel about the name Gollywood? Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhh! Yes exactly. I think we should do something fast before this name sticks to us like Van Vicker (ahem) and becomes official. Pun intended. Lol. I don't think anybody is going to take us and our artists seriously if we continue calling our film industry Gollywood, Ghanawood and the likes. Eliminate the "wood" period.

So I am thinking where do we start? Do we name it after a town, city, or a location in Ghana? Are there certain alphabets that sound more appealing and stick in mind than others, what are those alphabets and do they fit in well with the name we want? Should the name reflect something historical about Ghana?
Should it reflect where the film industry started?

Let your imagination run wild.......Give us a name to replace "Gollywood" and Tell us why you think you think it is a good fit.

What is funny is that "Hollywood" is a place.. It is used to refer to the American movie industry, but the word is actually the name of the area..

So Nollywood could be called "Idumota"

And the Ghanaian movie industry could be named for the place it started...

Na so we complain tire about 'Nollywood' but dem no gree. I remember reading one article where RMD was defending the name vehemently saying that the people opposing the name were close-minded or something like that. I mean seriously?

Brooms you better work hard o, before it sticks. There's a film village in Keita, abi? Maybe it should be called Keita or something.

They can call it whatever they like. Ghanawood or Gollywood would stick just like Nollywood, nothing you guys can do about it.
