Miracles: Have you any Experience?

MIRACLES!!!!!!

This thread is about MIRACLES. Have you experienced any? Please drop your stories here. Please NO cock and bull story and NO fairy tale should find its way into this place.

I will be sharing things that I (Multioption) have seen and experienced. Things that called for a re-evaluation of one's sentiments about God.

This is not about my childhood experience. I 'm talking about MIRACLES.

I hope this counts, if not I have no idea what to call it. In '97 I was struck down by an ailment that was diognosed as lobal pneumonia. The development of the ailment took only three hours to knock me down. Taking a breath was almost impossible because I felt shart excrusiating pains in my right long each time I did that.

My father's ever efficient roots and herbal remedies were of no use. Though he has very effective remedies for typhoid, celebral malaria, hepatitis, malaria low *&^% count, premature *&^%#@*&!*$ and many other ailments, he had no SINGLE remedy for cold related ailments.

I went from one hospital to the other and had to endure the looks I got from people who were apparently wondering what the son of a herbalist was doing in a hospital, I couldn't care less heck, I was fading away and needed whatever that could bring me back to life. I was a boy that hated pills with passion. The putrid stench of pills always sent my stomach churning but this time, I received a bucketfull of pills and capsules after they tattoed my buttocks with syringe.

The pills and injectinos worked but they seemed to have swept the pain towards a spot in my right lung and left it there. It was painful, not sharp but dull and uncomfortable. You could feel the bubbles in my right lung each time I took a breath. This torture lasted for 13 months but the pain remained the same, it wasn't getting better neither was is getting worse. There was no more room for syringe tattoo on my buttocks so they turned to my arms.

On the 14th month I'd gone to see visit my Uncle in Enugu. After taking my daily bread (bucket full of pills and capsules) I was annoyed that the pain wasn't going anywhere. Out of frustration I scooped up the entire pill and flushed them down the toilet. While inside the toilet I got down on my knees and said a heartfelt genuine prayer...it was a genuine plea for help from the heart of a tormented teenager. The preyer was brief but I put my soul and spirit into it.

When I woke up the following morning, I was shocked to find the pain was GONE WITHOUT A TRACE. I was back to my usual self...the way I was 14 months ago. Everyone was relieved because I had them holding their breath for 14 freaking months!

Now my brutha, if that ain't a mirracle, don't search me 'cause I don't know what else to call it.

Summary: You prayed and something happened. Could you please elaborate on the prayer? And if I may ask: of what age were you then? You reserve the right to keep your age secret.

Sorry 'bout the length of the story but I just figured I had to point out what led to the prayer.

The prayer was brief, can't rmember the exact words but it was something like 'Father, I know you are the only answer to my torment...no pill nor injection can bring an end to this pain'

I was in my late teens at the period, 18 to be precise.

Good to read how you prayed.

My unending records of miracles will be posted on Sunday morning-Naija time. It's 5.50 am in Nigeria. Need to get some sleep.

ciao

Ok. Like I said, it was brief and I couldn't remember the exact words but I put my whole being behind it...I was completely oblivious of my surrounding during that short period.

Okie dokie. Go sleep well.

Praises and glory be unto God in the highest for a wonderful opportunity granted me to be alive without which I would never have considered sharing with interested pple some of the things that I have seen and experienced.

Taking a cue from the gospel writer (Luke) I want to establish some background for testimonies of events that I have witnessed in life.

It seemed good to me also having had a perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most precious NR Members.[/i]
When Jesus addresed His disciples on Mount Olive before His ascension He instructed them to tarry in Jerusalem for the endument with power from above after which they would become witnesses unto Him.

What is it to be a WITNESS? A witness is someone who goes about to share his experience, his encounters with God. A WITNESS is not someone who walks around to preach the Bible or force down the throat of other people his beliefs. So it follows that if you have not encountered the power of God you are not qualified to be a witness.

Today, I want to witness before the entire members of NR and onlookers who might take great interest in reading what I have to say. If not for the grace and mercy of God, I would still be wallowing in the world, leading a non-chalant life, following a scientific theory that could have taken me to hell fire. But my soul is so precious to God that He ordered my environment and events to box me to a very tight corner. I had no alternative but to seek God where He can be found.

Please read below for the second part.

Multi started his life as a muslim (muslim brothers and sisters should not take offence) or maybe I should say I started my life as a non-christian. There were no reasons for me to accept Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I didn't know Him and neither do I cared about Him. But as fate would have it, I cleared my WASC exams with excellence and got admission to study Electrical/Electronics Engineering at the great University of Ife. It was a moment of joy for me to join the league of engineers in the family as father, cousins and uncles are either product of Ife or University of Lagos. But something happened and the course of Multi's life was altered, then it was for the worse, but now, looking in retrospect, I say 'thank you Lord'.

I wouldn't want to venture into what led to my change of faith because this thread is about Miracles and not my life story. So many things happened between 1987 and 1994, June 30th. I found myself pursuing a supernatural power because what was happening in the family required that whoever wants to live must seek reinforcement. On one hand, there was a struggle to survive, and on the other I was struggling to leave the country so as to compensate for many lost years. The battle was fierce as there was no one to help Multi climb the ladder of life. He was practically wasting away with no end in sight.

I can vividly recollect how I used to question the authenticity of the Bible. My premise then was that Bible is full of contradictions. I was quick to point out to believers seeming contradictions with questions that not a single christian could answer, so I thought. To cut a long story short, a friend visited me sometime in June 1994 and invited me to attend a fellowship holding in a building at a stone throw away from my house. My situation then was to find succour because logical and analytical skill could not help further my advancement.

I met with Christ on the 30th of June, 1994 and my life took a dramatic turn around. The gates of heaven flood opened and my satanic wisdom was shattered to pieces. I saw myself in the light of God and hated sin with passion. I fell in love with Christ so much that I stopped hanging out with my numerous girlfriends (although I wasn't involved in romantically induced relationship, then it was just for the thrill of having several beautiful girlfriends).

March 10th, 1995, something happened............will be back.

Multi, this sounds interesting and I am sure that some of us will be able to learn a thing or two from it. However, I hope this thread will not be abandoned or get deleted.

Big Sister, this thread will not be deleted. The focus has been aligned with the purpose of God for me. Witnessing what I have seen as MIRACLES not mere 'headache stories' is the only way I can express my appreciation to God. Please enjoy yourself as you read.

I thank God for the power in the name of Jesus because If not for that name and the infinite mercy of God,I probably would have been dead by now.My miracle or rather testimony happened in '99.I had just gotten admission into the University and a cousin of mine who told us he could drive(but obviously could not drive from what happend) was driving me and a few of my relatives who wanted to see me off to school.well, my cousin was speeding out of control and we kept telling him to slow down but he said he knew what he was doing. a couple of minutes later, a sharp end and gbam, the car skid off the road and into the bush and my expert driver cousin could not control the car, that's when we all started calling the name of Jesus to come save us,and I tell u, God sent down his angels to hold that car because the car stopped in front of this big ditch that if God had not stopped the car himself, the car would have fallen into the ditch and I wonder what would have happened to us.Today,I thank God for sparing my life and that of my relatives that day.
