Francis Duru - needs to tone down - just a notch. He doesnt need to be so damn serious all the time - its not that deep.
He always comes across as someone who has done a lot of theatrical or stage work or should be acting on stage.
hes aa-aight though

i saw the cover of the movie and i thought Chioma Chukwuka PLUS Francis Duru - ok abeg let me pass - maybe next month - or two. One sunday after noon after church when i want to feel very bored , i will go get it

I love Chiwetala Agu - he is such a convincing Actor - just cos of him - i will watch this movie later

"Through the Fire", a 2 part DVD movie produced & Directed mostly here in the DC/MD area by Chuks Etolue and featuring mama-dollar (in a supporting role). In 'through the fire', an illegal Nigerian immigrant living in America must overcome financial, societal, and governmental obstacles in order to save the life of his only child.

Why are most of these Yankee based Naija movies all about immigration. I mean, I know it's a major problem for our folks, but what about stories about folks that have scaled that hurdle and do other things?

You can't say most until you have a substantial number of these things coming out. 10 titles (or thereabouts) a year is not so much yet. That aside, immigration has got so many angles to it and we are not even touching 'em yet. Still skating the surface. I think the key theme so far has been culture clash and immigration is often the sub-theme or a conflict element.
