No be only idumota/iweka rd boys dey strike?
I'm sure that has nothing to do with Nu-metro or project nollywood guys and shouldn't prevent them from releasing their movies.

I HAVE WATCHED!!! And what can I say but that it is WORTH the watching. White Waters is good. All the characters did good, Joke's acting was phenomenal (as could only be expected I guess), the coach did very well and that "massive" guy, well maybe I should say his acting was "masive". Dem try.
The Locations Manager should be applauded. I don't know whether any better locations would've suited the film White Waters than that of Nassarawa & Plateau states which they used. Come see BEAUTIFUL sceneries.
Abeg let me not go on and on untill others have watched & I will leave the synopsis to MW I guess but ME I LIKE White Waters.

I really havent heard anthing about them, not even in the media. Ever since Ope Banwo one of the top shots got sacked, the story of Dove became history. Maybe they had other problems to deal with that we do not know of.

U mean Sitanda? If you dont get them in any of those movies stores i bet the only solution is to send someone who is coming to naija to buy it...but i want to believe u should be able to get it, so many peeps abroad bought it.

I finally watched this film (yes film, its a film not a home movie) and i was blown away, for someone who has seen too many cut and join productions, it becomes so hard to resist the feel of this wonderful picture.
WHITE WATERS
Produced by: Amstel Malta Box Office
Directed by: Izu Ojukwu (numero uno)
Stars: Rita Dominic, Joke Silva and OC Ukeje (winner of Amstel malta box office 2)
Storyline: Melvin is dim, slow and finds it hard to pass his exams to the extent that his younger ones get ahead of him. His step father considers any more money spent on him as a waste of money cos to him he is a failure and so he backs his hands off little melvin. Melvin's mother in a bid to save her marriage takes melvin to the village to stay with his grand mother (Joke Silva). Despite his inadequacy, melvin's grandma loves her first grandchild. melvin then lived all his life in the village, dropped out of school all cos he couldnt cope. Most of the time when a child fails to measure up, there is either a psychological or emotional problem, any of which could have been as a result of weaknesses in their parents or the way they were handled at those impressionable periods of their lives. Things weak children need are acceptance, love and gradual push that could make them become confindent by the day which in turn makes them grow into a better person of their own.
The coach of the athletic team in the local community is
able to spot the real talent in Melvin even though no one does, he convinces the others and gives Melvin the grand shot at fame and fortune, though its not easy and Melvin is forced to also learn that success is a gradual process and every man will fall inorder to rise again in the pursuit of it.
VERDICT: This movie was touching, the message came across, Izu has gone haywire with this one and i hope he gets better by the day. If you are looking for regular nollywood faces asides Joke Silva (who did brilliantly) and Rita Dominic (who didnt let down as usual) then u are not gonna get them as the other actors are relatively unknown and they gave good accunts of themselves.
Melvin was played by Oc Ukeje who won the second edition of the reality shw after Azizat Sadiq and this was the movie that won him Best Upcoming actor at AMAA and he deserves it...i like the fact that every thing about this movie was unique, not ur usual nollywood stuff. Some of the shots were breathtaking and this is a collector's item.
The movie was shot in the mountains surrounding the waterfall Farin Ruwa, in Nassarawa State of Nigeria.
A MUST WATCH!!!!

The movie to watch now is White Waters, its the best Naija production in a long long while...
