So I have heard so much about this movie - its all over the re watchable movies thread. And all over the best Ramsey movies thread too. So I said I gotta watch it. Soooooooooooo disappointed. Great story, baaad execution - on all their parts.

It started off promising, and then went to hell. I was so disappointed. Omotola is a liberian refugee, who goes from a refugee camp to live with Nobert Young's character's family (Nobert plays a rich army colonel) The colonel fancies her and tries to molest her, his madam catches them and throws her out. The colonel follows her and makes her a deal - "be my mistress and I will set you up as long as you belong to me." She agrees after some resistance and all is well until she meets Ramsey and falls in love. Ramsey is supposed to be some kind of musician, but he is clearly lip synching, because we have heard him sing and we know that he cannot. And in many scenes, you can clearly hear generators in the background. That one is not their fault though. The story really goes south when Ramsey is introduced and then she invites him to live in her BQ, and Empress Njamah makes a brief entrance - and blah, blah blah.

They ruined a great story in my opinion, and I cannot understand all the rave reviews this disappointment of a homvie got from many reviewers on this site. Ramsey, Omot and Nobert can act, but the movie made them look bad. There was no chemistry between Omot and Ramsey. It was fake, so fake. And all that love at the beach!! And the fake twist at the end between Ramsey and Nobert. All rubbish.

And that fake ending - so predictably and okroey, I could pukey.
I am pissed meeen!

This is quite an old flick. Yea started off nicely but towards the middle it just got kinda boring
