Osuofia and The Wise Men
This hilarious comedy examines how Osuofia, a deputy chief priest assists two tramps, Paul and Silas in stealing the sacred Ekpo mask. Osuofia and the wise men is a comedy with serious message of intent, the urge for illegal exportation of the countries artifacts is met with funny yet painful experience.

...saw it yesterday...the plot and storyline was good but the entire movie arrangement could've been better executed...I no like dem just jam one scene enter like patchpatch @ one point and then it occured to us what was going on there....there were some parts that seemed irrelevant to the movie and I guess it was for comedic effect...C+

most of osofia's movies these days are losing its comic sense most of them turn out to be drama more than comedy. they should categorise it well.

you know, i think you're right.
i think he's trying to get away from the comedy thing, like he wants to be looked at differently. but to me, i don't think that he is doing a great job with it, because the comedy still comes thru sometimes and it almost always falls flat.
i saw a movie he did with kofi and yvonne nelson where he was a detective trying to find yvonne, and again, it seemed to me that he wasn't trying to be funny but he still came across as a comic.

..I think the comic in him will always pop up,and as long as the Producers and Directors allow the comic 'freestyling' it's going to continue.Much as I have no problem with the comic freestyling,I think with the retakes and the editing it could made to hit home a little better and conform with the movie but I personally think Nkem Owoh is very very funny.I listened to some of his freestyled lines in this movie and ohmy....yabbis reaction time is like .090 seconds,so U can tell he's a vet.I don't know if the directors think it's ok to have them retake some of those lines or not but it has to conform. As our standards continue to improve so do these sort of little little things. That said,I think also the 'roll with it' approach may be due to the constricted deadlines that Nollywood movies have for production, hence I suspect that in some cases there's either no time for perfection or even the producer/director does not have a sense of perfection.Because I think if some of those lines had been retaken they'd work perfectly. However, kudos to Mr Owoh...his experience shone through.Btw..I like the cameo appearance by Gringory too

...same with other actors who started out primarily as comics and it's as if directors always expect them to bring that to the table.Same thing with Baba Suwe too..some of the lines in some of his more recent works have drawn too long...sorta like...the producers are overusing them and not sticking to the script..

..yup!I no wan give am away but I was just as shocked and delighted to see him...well...cameo was probably a bit understated,co-starring is probably more appropriate...and it's not the THREE wise men..it's Osuofia and The Wise Men ..no three
