    When the heart Lies 1 & 2

    By Azuh Amatus

AFTER a well-attended world premieres staged both in Lagos and Abuja, When the Heart Lies, the big budget project movie produced by Vivian Ejike, has finally been released into the Nigerian, US, Europe and the rest of African movie markets. The star-studded movie with Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde as lead actress, is being marketed globally by Nollywood Distributions Limited, in collaboration with other leading video/film outlets.

Directed by Lancelot Imasuen, other leading actors featured in the mind blowing and suspense filled movie are Enebeli Elebuwa, Uche Jombo, Desmond Elliot, Omoni Oboli, Lola Shokeye and a host of others. Pop star and music producer, Paul Play Dairo, also starred in the well-scripted flick from the stable of Purple Pine Production, which has offices in Nigeria, the US and UK.

Speaking on the movie, the producer, Vivian Ejike, informed that the story revolves around four good friends linked together by a dirty past.

"The lead act, Kaiyra, a darling of music fans has a secret. In fact, a secret borne out of a chance meeting with some friends at the airport sixteen years ago, therefore, everyone connected to her past must be avoided like a plaque. For this dirty secret to remain buried forever, Kaiyra, must always avoid her erstwhile pals."

"These and many more intrigues," Ejike said, "stands the movie out in the midst of many."

According to the former banker, who just returned from a promotional tour of UK, and US, When The Heart Lies is readily available on VCD and DVD.

"The movie can compete favourably anywhere in the world based on its quality production and the technology involved in making the movie," she enthused.

    When the heart Lies 1&2

    Storyline
Can your heart truly lie to you maybe. This wonderful and sensational music star is suddenly in love with a young and budding admirer. Just then, an old flame is rekindled and the music star is caught in between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Starring- Desmond Elliot, Omotola Jalade Ekehinde, Enebeli Elebuwa and Uche Jumbo.

I do not know if the movie is a new or old I have no idea whatsoever, because nollywood is confusing all of us now I cannot tell if a movie is old or new unless you have watch the movie before because they re- released old movies and change the title of the movie. Someone else will know to tell us if this movie is old or new. The movie have such a good cast

I just saw the movie yesterday. I give it a 6.5/10

The movie is not as new as i thought though it says its a 2009 production. Joe Adenagh (sp) played Omotola's dad and he passed away sometime ago. May he RIP.

ok. I think now is the time to stay away from the Lancelot/Emem brouhaha. I mean what type of nonsense is this everytime? This is very harsh on Emem, but my dear, you need to take a writing course and learn how to STRUCTURE a story. this is just crap. when I watch emem's work the ones that are not directed ny Lancelot seem to have more substance, like a time to love. Obi Okoli is an awesome filmmaker and i am sure he edits the script. Uche Jombo is also a good writer, she did a good job with perfect stranger. But Emem, what's with all the expository dialogue?

this movie had no head or tail. why didn't ya'll lip sync Omotola? she has no singing voice!

I will not give the story away. I will give kudos to picture quality and technical skills. the sound quality could be better, it dropped and had an inlay in some scenes.

Actors were crap. from Omo T to as usual Desmond who has never been good anyways. The parents of OmoT were ok. the extras were crap. what's with the American Idol copying? horrible scene. Uche Jombo needs to level out on her energy, really. She forces everything and is always trying to hide her teeth. Girl, ain't noting wrong with your teeth, if she is so worried about it, see a dentist. she lacks believability. she moves her head from left, jerks it here and there, gestures with her lips forming all sorts of shapes. I think someone said the same thing about her and it was obvious in this movie. Talk show? the trampoline backdrop? very funny.

If you want an actor to demonstrate a cold exterior, what do you do? GIVE THAT ACTOR FEW LINES!! cold people do not talk, they eye you, and walk away or say something sarcastic. they don't go on and on and on.
OmoT did not convince me. so she had a secret, must she be frowning whiles performing? we all have secrets, we do not think about it all the time, hits you once often.
the story structure was pure crap. no point of view, the usual soap opera format. Jumping from main characters, to people gossiping on the street to parents to this to that, to a 15 minute scene of people sitting and talking. shouo. na this be the industry to make noise about? nollywood needs to start from the scratch, if in 2009 this is what is being produced. yet the stars are so arrogant and proud.

unless you have lived in America, DON'T TRY TO WRITE LIKE THEM. please, don't try to talk like them. whats with the Americanized dialogue? sitting in front of some outdated TV shows and sitcoms is no education on American culture.
you are really trying to tell me that omot had a baby in the bathroom? please, go convince a blind man.

they go come start dey give excuses now. There is no excuse, after all this years, all the education exposed to you guys, you can't still be churning out this nonsense.
what name is kayira? and she was pregnant for nine months in her parents house and they never saw anything? foolish stupid nonsense. I have regretted the time I invested in this load of CRAP
this is the movie they made so much noise about.

I havent seen this movie but i agree on uche jombo, that face she makes and even with her mouth freaks me out. And Emem needs to try other directors aside Lancelot,i think he is overhyped. Even Reloaded had the same problem. We dont have to be told everything, lets see dem in pictures. Too much dialogue ruins the movie.
