Dickson Ireogbu in money trouble!

The executive goveronor of delta stae, chief james ibori is said to have signified his interest in having a movie made to not only potrya the state in a positive light but also his person. And to this effect, a proposal was put together for the project. While some quaters say the figure ran into as much as 35 million naira, others say it may have been more. The film was to be titled "The big heart treasure" and all seemed set for work to commence. But as it wants to happen when big money is involved, the cookie soon crumbled.
In the very centre of the mess is AMMA best director, diminutive Dickson ireogbu and another man simply reffered to as Mr Clement ogbor who is the producer, problem started when the artistes pencilled down for the project began to be owed after having heard stories contrary to what they have been told and thought.
The money said to have been released for the project never got to the right quaters. Certain officials of the delta state government are accused of having dipped their fingers into the money bag thereby reducing the budget. And the keyplayers in the scandals may have aided and abetted these people for their selfish reasons at the expense of the artistes. Top artistes contacted to be part of the film include Clem ohameze, justis esiri, enebeli elebuwa, lucky ovuparaoye, steph nora okere, and bukki ajayi.
According to dickson, the governor had nothing to do with the project at all. His government only assisted in the production process by providing some basic necessities to aid the production process. This is the version he was told by clement ogbor only for him to get to warri and find out otherwise. But to his amazement, not only was the government solidly behind the project, ogbolor whent about parading himself as the producer of the movie to the chargin of the artistes who were shocked at the turn of events. On the other hand ireogbu may have been economical with the truth because he had initially informed the artistes that agreed to work with him that both him and ogborlo had raised personal funds for the project, which certainly was not true. Many of the artistes are said to have even begun work were persuaded by ireogbu to cut down on their intitial artistes fees. He owed so much and the artistes were thrown out of their hotel rooms. This was what angered them most. the matter is still being investigated by the actors and directors guild and if found guilty, the appropriate punishment will be meted out.

I just realised three days ago about How corrupt Nigeria is and peoples awarenss of such...The only country we seemed to have topped in corruption was Bangladesh and that place is a hell of a corrupt country. Only God can help us cause we dont seem to be getting any better....Not for now! Maybe in the future..things are geting out of hand by the hour.
