omotola and saint obi? i totally disagree...all actors and actresses have their moments and times of bad movies but that doesnt make them bad actor or actresses..these two especially, they've been in the game a long time and have progressed through the years
definately would not put them in the top 100 let alone top 5 HABA!

2. Emeka Ike: One word sums this actor up: insipid. I am simply baffled by his popularity. He is a weak, dull, uninteresting man. You can be sure that if he were out with a lady and got mugged, he would hide behind her.
3: Omotola: is a woman of extremes. she is extremely popular when it comes to looks, and extremely bad when it comes to acting. Having said that - I do feel a little sorry for her - it must have been hard on her to be upstaged by Genevieve.
4. Mike Ozuronye: has been on our screens far too many times. Not only is he a bad actor, he manages to be so bad that potentially good films wilt at his feet. He is like the reverse of King Midas - everything he touches turns to… erm, well - poo.
5. Saint Obi: This is a tricky one - when he comes on screen he seems like he might be okay - but then he opens his mouth. They must spend millions on his films editing out the drool! How on earth has he ended up in so many films?

I disagree with Omotola being a bad actress. It looks like since her come back she has been falling in the hands of very bad and I mean very bad! producers/directors. Ini Edo should have replaced her on that list.
Mike is a good actor but I think his screaming or is it yelling hasn't been doing justice to his acting talent.
The rest, I can't but agree with you

Maybe you are right peculiar...a funny thing that happened when I met him a couple of years back, I had just finishing watching one of his movies, cannot remember the name....anyway, the ending of the movie looked like there will be a part two...so when i met him I asked him and he said 'oh we were working on it and we stopped as I had to come to the US'....so I was like well, got to wait then....then two days later, I went to the shop and here was the part two of the movie on the shelf....it was so funny...either he misunderstood me or .....but I remember he and I discussing the movie....

i definitely would not call Emeka Ike a good actor, but what actually bothers me about him even more than the quality of the acting is the fact that he is so... unattractive.
i mean, i find him a repugnant screen presence, regardless of the movie he is in... he always seems EXTRA-unlikeable to me. you know how you have someone like Tom Hanks or Denzel Washington, that whenever you see them on the screen, no matter what the story is, they have this down-to-earth vibe that makes you just want to like them and root for them?
Emeka is the exact OPPOSITE of that.
in every single role, he appears shrill, condescending, arrogant, weak, opportunistic and ignorant. and it has nothing to do with the scripts... it's an aura that he radiates as an individual. so i find it bizarre that he is often cast as a hero... it confuses me: i'm often like "am I actually supposed to LIKE this character and sympathize with him?"
i can't do it.

Oh my my...Emeka is really in very bad shape with us here. I'm surprise that with all the comments that have been said about his acting here those producers are still having him appear in their movies...and I'm sure a number of them do read comments being posted on the site.
Anyway, Emeka has a very attractive looks on screen and that is when he doesn't open his mouth...but the minute he starts to talk both his fine appearance and acting all go down the drain.

because his movies sell. it's simple as that.
regardless of whether or not you or I like him, there are lots of people who DO like him... or even if they don't "like" him per se, they are used to seeing him and feel safe with what is familiar.

i don't find him attractive at all. even his eyes and his... carriage bother me.
he doesn't exude... strength. or compassion. or wit. or any other quality i appreciate in a man.
he seems sleazy.
i'm not trying to dis him, mind you... i just think he's miscast in "hero" roles. he would be better off playing roles like the morally dubious asshole and stuff like that.

Let me explain.. Do you know I used to think the same way until a Oyibo woman set me straight...
Someone asked me if a guy was good looking and I said
"I don't know, I'm a guy"...
to which she responded angrily...
"Bullshit!! I hate when guy do that stupid shit. Like you don't know who is good looking! If I told you that you looked like Denzel Washington or Danny Glover, which one would you think was a compliment?!"
I was weak.... Of course man would feel much better to be compared to Denzel... Ergo, I can tell if a guy is good looking...
It is not a gay thing, it is just a matter of being honest and not allow homophobia to make you a liar... You don't have to be gay to think another man is good looking...

He looks very unkempt. His hair is never combed, his lips are always dry, and his skin lacks a luster glow. I get confused too.

I have to add <even though I hate these type of threads>
Putting Omotola on any type of list like this is freaking ludicrous!!
Say what you will about her precieved personality or her interviews or any number of things that make people not to like her, she is a talent!! She has quiet inante moments in her performances that you can't teach. She is also a case of an actor who is no longer challenged to do better and better work.
And I am not comparing her to anyone!!! I am talking about her work, moment to moment. Strip away all the BS written about her and watch her face and movements, it would be visiable to the blind the woman is talented.
To me it is just silly to even mention her name with the ranks of poor performers.

U know what I have a very good friend (male) very straight who finds Morris Chestnut very attractive...he has a category of names that he uses for attractive men like very handsome pretty, cute etc...I just find it strange...it surely is not a gay thing with him but I find it weird that's all. Hey, the white lady actually spoke to queen's boy like that and got away with it? LOL
