LOL....I was watching Dangerous Friends the other night, and you know like most Nolly movies, you can be doing other things whilst the movie is going on, as long as its not an intense scene or anything...but I kept having to turn back and look at the screen cause Mike Ezuronye's accent, CHEI!!!!
The man was just rolling out the Britico accent as if he was born, bred and brought up inthe UK!!!!!
Like BB, I have an Aunt and Uncle who came to the US in the 70s!!!! THey got their terminal degrees - PhDs in the US, and my goodness, they sound clear, polished, and not hoity toity like someone that has a pencil in his/her behind....! And guess what? they still have their accent, its still there...it has stopped them from advancing in their careers or anything, its just part of who they are, and they arent ashamed of it!!!
How many of us have friends who just "got off the boat" 2, 3, 4 years ago, and are now parading abroad like they were born there with that accent???

Does anybody understand Hanks Anuku when he speaks? I kind of find it hard to hear him, and the "know-war-am-saying" and "sh*t" makes it a lot more difficult for me.
