CAN WE MEET YOU?
My name is Stella Damascus Aboderin and I am an entertainer. A lot of people do not know that I am a designer. I am a graduate of the University of Lagos. I was a wife. I am a mother of two children. I love to have fun. A lot of people do not know the other side of me because people just see me in movies and some see me hiding in my house. But a lot of people do not know the fun side of Stella because that is one aspect of me I do not really show people except those close to me. But really I am just a lucky person that will love to make a lot of money. I happen to be 29 years old. I am from Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria.

UNIVERSITY DAYS FOR YOU?
Well, I really a long history with my educational background. I started with a law course where I did Diploma in Business and Industrial Law in University of Lagos. Then I later left to the University of Benin, there I had admission to read theatre arts. But after some time, I could not cope because I wanted to come to Lagos. I had already started working and I had to combine school and work. I told my friends that I wanted to be on my own and did not want to depend on anyone. I later re-enrolled to the University of Lagos for the same Theatre Arts and I majored in Directing.

DREAM CAREER?
Before I would tell you, I would like to be a Psychologist, if I wasn’t into acting. But now, I would tell you I would not do anything else, because I love my job.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY TO STARS WHO LEFT SCHOOL BECAUSE OF THE FAME?
As for me, I had an option and I wanted to improve myself. I knew that one of the things to get by in this world is to be educated and apart from education, I also wanted to study, so that when I am talking about my craft I would not just be using a layman’s language. Studying in the University, you have the opportunity to read about different things, like your knowledge will be vast, you broaden your scope, so apart from people saying that you are on screen, you would be able to prove to them, that it is not just the beauty and the acting that you have but you also have the brain, so I look for things that would improve myself. I have not finished yet. I am still going to enroll at the business school.

ADVICE TO YOUTHS WHO WANT TO BE LIKE YOU?
There is no point being a celebrity when you are an “Olodo”, first of all, education is very vital, you have to study it, well, no problem, but if you really want to be a professional actor or a professional singer, you have to study your craft, it might not be in a University, but you need a lot of hard work and that’s one of the reason why people complain about sexual harassment, because they don’t want to study their craft and work hard and master it and look for jobs, instead they want it the simple way. So education , dedication and a lot of hardwork, because a lot of things would come your way to challenge you, and if you are not dedicated to what it is that you say you want to do, that is, if you are getting into it for the wrong reason, I bet you, give yourself one year, you are out of it. Then you must have God close to you because of the fact that you are seen everywhere and also there are a lot of envy, and my mother used to tell me, that “You do not have to do anything for people to hate, because some will love you and some will hate you”. So, you need to always put God first.
