They believe these terms will gradually replace “AD” and “BC”. There have been political and religious debates on this issue; some claim non-Christians saying AD and BC feel offended and distressed. Hence, to promote religious tolerance, it’ll be more considerate using BCE and CE. Others insist on retaining the traditional method of dating (B.C./A.D), saying that doing otherwise “...is the result of the secularization, anti-supernaturalism, religious pluralism, and political correctness pervasive in our society.” So, what’s your take on this issue?
