Nollywood star, Desmond Elliot is perceived by most of his fans as a lady’s man, but he considers himself lucky. He spoke with Daily Sun.

He speaks:

Me and God
I can, without fear of contradiction, say that I have a personal relationship with God. It is because I do not joke with Him that I am able to relate with almost any person that I come across. I am free with people. Most often, He helps deal with issues of each new day.

My Bible
Most often, I look out for inspiring words from the Bible. Words that offer me guidelines and instructions that can carry me through each passing day. It just depends on the mood of the Spirit as we use it in the word at that particular point in time.

Tithe
I am strongly in support of tithing. It is an obligation that a true Christian owes himself in order for things to work out well for him or her. Although like most people, there are few times that you find yourself skipping one or two tithes, but that is not obviously bad. What is important is that it is not deliberate. I tell people whenever they are puzzled about the kind of progress I am making that it is because I pay my tithe.

Vigils
I use to attend vigils. But now, whether I like it or not I must be on location most times. Most often I have to struggle to even make it to church. And I guess it is the price I have to pay to get to where am going.

Stardom and Christianity
Before I ventured into the movie industry, I had to pray over it and God gave me a guideline of what He expected of me. So, this thing call superstar is hardly in my dictionary. I don’t see myself as a star. Instead, I see myself as someone who wants to manifest God’s gift. I see myself more as an evangelist of God using my talent to interpret roles in order to make the message of each production clear and digestible to the audience.

Through my role, I bless people and by extension, I bless everything and myself. This entire stardom thing ends up in the six feet, but if you are humble, you are bound to inherit the earth and the treasures thereof. I want to be a star in heaven not on earth.

Abi o. I hope history will not repeat itself. The Ghanaian actress Sussie Williams was interviewed and she said she wants to die and go to heaven - and she died not too long after the interview. May God give Desmond long life o.:shock

I'm loving Dessie right now :586: . May God bless him and his pretty wife. Thank God he has stopped appearing in any movie that has a name. He is becoming more selective, Yippie!

AMEN, but that will not happen, don't fear. As he has lifted up the Lord, he will be blessed indeed, he will not go unrewarded. Des is gonna be around for a long time, honey, mark the calendar.

As this man be reading his Bible upside down? Where does it read that there will be a need for being a star in heaven? We all going to be laughing, smiling, chit chat all the way, singing praises to God when we get to heaven. Aint nobidy gonna be a star or moon when we get there. No acting career either.

Be encourage man, I know you know about NR, you probably come in here to snoop on what people says. Which is good. I'm in support all the way.

Des is so silly :spiny:,everyone who makes Heaven is DEFINITELY going to be a star which of course amounts to everyone being equal and no one person lording it over the other.
