To be honest with you, I thought that the scriptwriters were projecting how the average Nigerian spoke. Yet I noticed the perfect English of Justice Esiri and Peter Edochie, and was confused.

Perhaps the scriptwriters should use Word or script writing software that will correct the grammar.

hmmmmm......

Most nigerian hmovies are full of grammatical errors, the worst culprits are the yoruba subtitles! I must say i agree with the comment made about not churning out so many films at the same time.
If we want to be taken serious in the movie industry, mediocrity isn't an option.
Also why do pple say things like "where did you go by this time of the night?" Is that proper English (I have noticed this in quite a few films)

Buahhahhahhahha, I am talking about the things displayed on this page, we are not looking at the appearance or the arrangement of the printed words. Although, in a computer science world, some of us call it "typo" it is called typical error/Typo error in my own word (when you are referring to someone's error).

I have said it...... Typical Error is right, depending on the context in which it's being used.
Typical or typographical?:cool-smil

Who says that mistakes are common?
English is just a foreign language which we learnt while grown up. its not our mother tongue that we have to be fluent. Even white people make mistakes then how about us.
Can u learn a foreign language and be perfect in everything? No. But we go on improving from time to time. As time goes on, everything will be fine with english cause they will be used.

Anyway, correction is good too. but in a good way.
Yeah u're right that is why they still study english in their schools.

Firstly: SO YOU GYM HERE?, lots of Nigerians use that alot, gym is not something you do, it is a place.

So you gym here? should be replaced with So you work out here?

Can't remember the other lines from Omot and Gene............ Dang, dang dang. Oh my! is the word.

I did not only hear that from him, he is not the only one making that surface error.................. at least I know couple of people that have used that.
In short, hearing that from Desmond Elliot, it sounded soooo SEXY

In games women play, the only person I am sure didn't make any error is Stella Damascus...................... I was even blaming one of my long lost American Nigeria friend to stop bringing out every mistakes from that movie, but guess what............... they need to help it.
