Stella Damasus Aboderin (Widow); Kate Henshaw-Nuttal (Stronger than Pain/Rivals); Dakore Egbosan (Caught in the Middle); Geneve Nnaji (30 Days/Keep My Will); and Jakie Apea (Princess Tyra).

:comp26: though the movie wasn't that bad, i still think she's not worthy of a nomination.

Rakiya Atta(Across the Niger)

:fing24: i agree, she did good.

What have been the criteria in the past?
Well in the past i do know they call for entries from movie makers but i expected that by now they should have a way of getting these films themselves and selecting the ones that deserve to be in. Perhaps things are still the same.

Was this ask already...how can a movie be nominated and it hasn't been commercially released? I am thinking of it in terms of the Academy whereby all the films nominated have been released to the theatres and the Academy/SAG members vote on it.

Also, aren't only films from the past year the only ones allowed to be voted on for an award? I would have sworn Across the Niger has been out since 2006...as has 30days that was premiered in April 2006.

What is the system in Nollywood - TS/Khamileon/Rudeboy/Sola/Vince - I'm sure you guys would have a response.

The same question has been pondering on my mind for sometime now.
The movie 30 days from my understanding never got released into the the market and so why in the world was the movie nominated? "Across the Niger" I believe got released into the market but maybe not enough to get across the public...but at least it got released.

Now it's the movie 30 days that seems to baffle me...except it too got released but to private individuals and not to the public.
