Ah, this flick!:spin2:

To be honest, I liked it! My only headache was that little girl who kept reciting her lines one by one...she tried but hey, she kinda took some points away from the movie.

Talking about the acting, here goes:

Genevieve Nnaji-Didn't give any less than I expected. Delivery was excellent and I believed her character and every word she spoke. Ms Nnaji is a naturale and I absolutely love watching her. Weldone girl!:love004:

Yul Edochie
-This fine boy dey act good too. I hated his role in this flick. He's not great, but He is a good actor. I am not going to compare him with anyone-all I know is, i didnt have anyproblem watching him!

OluwaTchidi AdeChikere-:roll Surprisingly, homeboy's acting was far better than i anticipated. He has improved, to be very honest! Yes, his pronunciations and expressions atimes left me in stitches from laughing hard, but he was bearable. Very bearable, actually, compared to other flicks that i've seen him in.

Nana Ama
-She really tried, but quite a few times I couldn't relate with her acting. Not bad though.

I think those were the 5 leads in this flick(including the little girl). Others were alright too. The guy that acted as Edochie's friend is so funny, and the maids were alright too.

The story itself was quite different from the norm and it had lots of potentials. Whether it was told as nicely as it could've been-I am not sure. I think it could have been wrapped up nicely as a one-part flick too.

All in all, i must say-Tchidi Chikere, has done it again. He is good. Its a very touching and emotional story of LOVE, trust, FRIENDSHIP, betrayal and LOVE again! I am yet to see a movie of his that I don't like. I like that He and Genny wrote the story together as well, and Genny must have directed him in this one, cos I was proper shocked!;)

7.5/10. Very recommended.

You couldn't have missed that pinky stuff, I guess you were involved with the storyline so much that your "negative" (critic) eye was closed. smokin: That's good......
Overall, I'll concur with you, that movie is worth buying. grinning:

It was such an inspiring movie and should have been wrapped up in a part one movie. I didn’t see the sense in it being a two part. Also, I have always liked Tchidi Chikere’s movies but I honestly did not like the part he acted in this movie. Seriously, he should have only directed and produced. The storyline was great but I think the governess part did not make much sense. How can a lady who is barely making it afford a governess? The house in which she lived in resembled the boys quarters and so I was not buying her looking for the governess…I think what they should have done was to show Gen moving next door to Comfort’s house (since she wanted to live in a remote area anyway) and then the two becoming friends since they were neighbors ….then in a conversation between Comfort and Gen (cannot remember Gen’s name in the movie) she informs Gen of her dilemma in terms of looking for a governess….then Gen offering to help her with the job. As for the acting, Gen did her thing as usual….I could relate to how Nana Ama was feeling in some scenes but for the most part, she was not believable to me…the small girl did not do a good job for me either….but she sure resembles a cousin of mine.
I finally managed to see this. I think it was meant to be in one part because they did an epilogue at the end of part one.

The movie had a good storyline but the divergence wasn't encouraging. How would a poor woman as Nana pay a governess a whooping of 15 grand every month? That was a little bit unrealistic to me cuz me know what the poor go through.

Then the camera always had one pink stuff obstructing my viewing Gene's pretty face abi na me get the fake copy? Thats wat makes the movie terrible for me. Had lots of irrelevant scenes and my dearest brother Tchidi thinks being a good actor is about forcing American British accent with Ibo tongue. Was glad 2 see Ali Nuhu again after Sitanda. Yat another sub standard movie with a good act by Gene, Ali and maybe Yul
I had that pink dot too... it was only now and then on a certain camera
