Bursting Out!

The movie was nice. Liked it. But the Amos dude is not funny. I have seen him in a movie before and I do not know why they think he is a comedian.....quite annoying. The office scenes were are a bit too much. That so called ex-girlfriend too, I thought they could have developed the story regarding her better...I also felt like the begining of the movie dragged on and on for a while. But, the overall, it was worth the wait.
He was funny in Silent Scandal but I kept wanting him to shut up in Bursting Out. Episode 2's pace was much better than Episode 1.

Episode? huh? No be movie again??????
Ditto at bolded.

I watched this movie on Saturday, all in all, I quite enjoyed myself.

Now, on to my review.

The Positives

I liked the characters that played the office employees. Their energy really meshed. They added an extra umph to the movie. I thought that the executive assistant pulled off her role tremendously. She is one to watch out for.

The camaraderie between Nse, Genny and Omoni’s characters were believable. I especially liked the chemistry between Nse and Genny. They both fed off each others energy.

The Chemistry between Genny and Majid is once again believable. The familiarity between Genny and Majid brought good chemistry and it showed. I have noticed that Majid tones it down a bit whenever he is acting with Genny. Genny seem to be able to elevate Majid to a different level. You can tell that he genuinely likes Genny, and treats her accordingly.

The Negative
Susan Peters was something else. What was her story? The producers failed to address or let’s say, shine a light on the history between Majid and Susan’s character. Her character appeared from nowhere, and at first she was refined, then all of a sudden, she changed into something out of the movie “repossessed”.

The picture quality was substandard and the sound wasn't even synced properly. The sound quality was horrendous. Emem usually comes through in this aspect, but for some reason, let the ball drop on this one. Picture quality wasn’t up to par either. The images lacked color saturation, with some areas looking washed out to a degree. The contrast and brightness isn't that great as well.

The comedian (I don’t know his name) was not that funny.

Agree and agreed!

On the contrary, I think Susan Peters added a lot of drama to the film. She was the ex-girlfriend of Majid's character who decided to act as a spoiler to his new relationship with Genny. She at first tried to appeal to him but when she saw that was not working decided to show her other ghetto side! I thought she was hilarious especially when she said, 'Look at me, sexy thing like me managing you this pauper! lol... had a good laugh there coz she was anything but sexy!

I liked her role but I think they could have developed on her part with Majid better. Her entry was abrupt and really had no direction. We should have been given more feedback on the relationship between Majid and Susan before they showed her trying to plead with him to take her back. She cheated on him right, so it will have been interesting for us the viewers to see them initially in a loving relationship, then she cheated and then tried to win him back. I will have preferred to see that then some of the office scenes.

So, thank God I've finally bought Bursting Out. Can't wait to watch it once I have the time. Thank God for this Christmas break :)

I also bought:
6 hours to Christmas

Touch my heart(never heard of this one till today. RMD, Stella D, Kate Henshaw, Bimbo A, Joke Silva, Segun Arinze in it). Sooo can't wait to watch.

A private storm

Why are there so many darn parts and episodes? Always trying to guzzle money from somebody.

Hmmm...I don't know about this Bursting Out o.
The sound was bad as said by some members, and also the quality was somehow.
The movie seemed like I've watched it before. Almost reminded me of "Silent Scandals". Genevieve definitely seems like she plays the same role all the time.
I dunno, I think I expected too much from it. It was alright sha...

i am echoing iya laje, this is basically silent scandals. why does genny attract riff raffs that she has to clean up in movies? and its always Majid lol.

The audio was crap sha i think it was from post production.
i enjoyed ibiere's ranting even though it was just ridiculous at times.
