Now this is screenplay writer that i like very much, but of late, she needs to sharpen up her game becase her writing is suffering real bad.Looks like she has caught the "quantity" bug, judging from the number of scripts she's done of late.
Her scripts have loopholes and lapses the size of bomb craters these days and she needs to buckle up and cut down on the numbers too.

I agree! Cos even though I enjoyed Emotional Crack, her Behind Closed Doors didnt do anything for me.

lol....speaking of Emem....For a while I didnt even know she was a woman...(pardon my ignorance oh!) but the few works that she's created that I have seen have been good...but then again sitting down and watching a movie has been rather tough lately b/c of my schedule, so I may not be as conversant as Vince with his observation.! :)

I disagree with you Vince. I've enjoyed most of her movies and I think she's taken Nollywood movies to another level with her scripts. The movies that she's produced have been very good and I definitely think she's a major force to be reckoned with in Nollywood. I would like to commend Emem Isong for a job well done.

Behind Closed Doors is excellent. The acting was superb by ALL the actors and actresses -- particularly Patience O. She really did a great job projecting the born again mother - her praying was just too real. Desmond Elliot is really growing, and was excellent.

She is one of the better script writers in Nollywood. The only problem I have is with her director, Lancelot. He can pull the stories together better. The scripts are basically very good - Emotional Crack, Games that Women Play, Behind Closed Doors, Silent Tears(old movie), etc.

I think you are very right Vince. She has written some very good movies and I give her props for that. But I watched one of her movies recently and didn't like it very much. It wasn't very much like her. She needs to slow down and take it easy.

If she was the one that wrote Games women play, then she has to sharpen her game! It is not that I know a lot about script writing but if I watch a movie I look at things others don't look at.
Like in the movie Games women play, what job did Desmond have? It was shown at the end of the movie but not fully explored. At a time i thought he was living of Genny.
