Each time an event is published on BellaNaija.com, our very special BN Style watchers are quick to pronounce judgement on who looked fab and who should get the boot and with the growing strength of the fashion industry, Nigerian celebrities get it right sometimes and falter on other occasions, this is why this new reality talk show Glamsquad is launching soon.

Glamsquad is a reality talk show inspired by E! Entertainment Television’s hit series – Fashion Police, but adapted and made culturally relevant to our society here in Nigeria.

Just like E!’s Fashion Police, the show will have 4 regular co-hosts with surprise guest appearances once in a while to keep viewers on their toes and will see them critique and discuss the dos and don’ts of the fashion in the country. The show will not only focus on celebrities, but also on socialites and wannabes.

MORE

This should be fun, I wish we can see it here!! Maybe this will help some of those celebs that are desperate need.

Oh compared to everything else I saw, this is a huge YES.

Does she look like she's about to win an award, hell no. But for the fact that she kept it simple and she has a nice figure and i just love the boldness of her hair color, I am saying YES!!

I am not mean my sister. I am a big boned girl myself but I know how to pack it (as peeps like TM). Are there no spanks in town anymore? Why would you let your belly bulge out like that and your breast sag? See for people like me that are more endowed in that upper area, the devil will be cursed the day I decide to go out with a dress like that. The girls need all the support they can get, trust me. Abeg o, let's call a spade a spade. Didn't you see what Toolz had on? And she is a plus size too. Yes, you can be daring but then again DRESS YOUR FREAKING SIZE  Chai.

And madam in the second picture, sigh....na small remain make we see as Jerusalem take shape. I have no words for that, honestly. And madam with the huge yellow chain :roll....abeg i shall just stop right there...

Errrrmmmmm....NO.

And for Christ's sake it is Nigeria. Why would you want to wear boots to a red carpet event?
Well, there are some good ones:

good2.jpg I'm usually not a fan of matchy matchy and one straight boring color, but this eggshell white is pretty and she accesorized it well

good1.jpg I love the distinct line on this one. Simple but oh so elegant

good3.jpg This is just sexy and appropriate. Just needs some lotion.

good4.jpg I love this look, provided that is not a glove she's wearing on her left hand. The dress is an innocent fun style, yet in black and and brings the goth out even more with the necklace. I love the statement.

good5.jpg nothing says sexy more than a self assured man, and this outfits clearly sends that message. He don land O. I love it.

OK, now the bad:

bad1.jpg Got a headache trying to make sense out of the colors, patterns and textures. Too much

bad2.jpg Her shape is straight, not a lot of curves and so who told her to do horizontal lines?

bad3.jpg bad5.jpg Huh????

bad4.jpg Once I can get what she's doing with the belt and shoes, I can better access the level of awfulness. 10q.

Abeg, Naija people no dey hot? What's with all these guys and their obviously thick cardigans? And all them military style jkts? And the woman in tights? Phew! I'm almost sweating on their behalf right now!

Now, I think you got it all wrong, it must be the Summer "The wackest dress sense event". I couldn't even find up to 5 people dressed well in that event. Smh!

You'll be schocked when Nigerians in Lagos tell you how cold it is in the summer.

It can get a bit nippy at times up north, though. Not to wear boots, but perhaps to a Nigerian, it could be. I can't understand why people in south fl wear boots, but they do in the 'winter'.

The Lady with the Orange shirt and Blue hair looks gorgeous ...gosh I have a RL sweater like that the color is great on her skin....fierce ..the rest they are blessed in their various ways ...

ok so this wasn't an award thing, it is a concert so it's basically come dressed anytype of way.
boots though? boots? in naija? i know it gets nippy and a bit cold but boots though? i can see ankle boots in naija, but knee-high boots? i've never been able to understand that fashion trend.
even when i see those people out in california with a pair of SHORTS and boots. i always shake my head.

I am not mean my sister. I am a big boned girl myself but I know how to pack it (as peeps like TM).

Yes Lord!! you do know how to pack it
and for madam in the 2nd pic, forget about Jerusalem taking shape, can she breathe there?
and the third picture......
What in the world is going on?!

And for Christ's sake it is Nigeria. Why would you want to wear boots to a red carpet event?
why would you want to wear boots in nigeria, period.
and weren't they going to a concert? (doesn't make it any better though)

You know Naija now, no one is scared to offend anyone, they will straight up slam them left and right, up and down and side to side.

As for the boots, shebi Ini Edo wears them in her movies, (must be the ones we did not see in her shoe collection), na style now. anything they see yankee do, they will overdo it, you know our sistahs at home, trust them to overdo anything. Even here in South Fl where people turn on their heat at 68 degrees and old people are freezing to death, come and see jamos rock their boots like it's going outta of style

i hope they do please because it makes absolutely no sense what some of these people wear and get away with.
they shouldn't fear anybody and should say it like it is. (but make the Glam Squad no make misstep of their own o :) tee hee)

i thought we already reached a consensus about Ini Edo. she is not the person to even look at sideways for style.

Yes, WE reached that consensus, but apparently these folks at home have not. Besides you know I have to add my jab in there, I'm still mad at BP for posting the $500 nonsense mgbeke star shoes, I DO NOT think I can forgive that without prayers.
