Speaking of Stephanie Okereke, i was watching Sunny Irabor Live (on AIT) a few days ago. He was interviewing her and ppl called or emailed questions to her. One asked about her 'assent' when she was thalking abouth her 'assident' and she said that she always gets that question...that her dad studied abroad (she didn't say where) and she grew up in that kind of house hold and she has always talked like this since she was a kid.:guns

What kind of lie is that? :fbreathI mean if you want to fake accent, fake it! But please don't insult our intelligence by telling us rubbish. I know ppl who have lived in this country since the sixties and still have their Naija accents so how in the world can they pass on an accent they don't have to a child who all her life has lived in Naija????rolli:

I just lost my respect for her at the moment. It's obvious she's trying to be something she's not...and that is not crime but please don't insult our intelligence while you're at it.

My assent and my assident! :fbreath

My thiere, am sthill thrying tho figurrrre ith outh!!!!
I mean where 'abroad' did her father study. The old USSR? Abidjan, Mauritania? Libya? Where? And while we are it, how come this assent she has been using since she was a keed didn't show up until she went to America to study? OH, I see...her trip to America, resurrected the inherited assent:devil

Meanwhile, she was still saying after my 'assident' in her pseudo-Ameri-Igbo 'assent'.

So KiKIM, don't you seet dere and tell me you don't haff a Tanzanian assent, have you been to Tanzania since you were a keed? Why don't you take a treep down there and watch your long-lost Tanzanian assent rise again!!!smokin:

you know...i thought about it, it's like ms okereke misunderstood her farrder (i swear that's how she pronounces it)

perhaps her farrder wanted her to speak properly and she misunderstood and thought the man wanted them to speak like oyibo?? perhaps?
    just wondering.
